So if Jagr decides "to take his talent to Hockeytown" are they going to have a riot and jersey burning in Pittsburgh like they did in Cleveland when LeBron left? Although the hype isn't that big outside of the hockey world, that's what I feel like Jagr is doing here.

I have to say that i didn't know 2 of the names on that list. I thought the point he about Stevie Y coming back was a great point and that is something that excites me to no extent. I would love to see what Stevie Y could do with the Red Wings' resources. Overall, that lineup looks great except the defensive questions but after this last season, I don't the defense conversation is one that we are going to be able to get away from barring some jaw dropping signing after July 1st.

Wouldn't Winnipeg move out West? That's why I think it's weird to send two teams West and send one team East. That was my understanding but I could be wrong and probably will be wrong.

I'm with a few others, I am little shocked that he would let the Wings move East and the fat that he would move both Columbus and the Wings east. Like the article said, a lot of people aren't happy with the format. I approve of this "proposed realignment" but I have my doubts with regards to the Wings getting to move East.

^THIS I think a lot of the reason people hate Hudler is because it was so easy to yell at him throughout the season. It seemed to me that he never made the transition form the KHL. But regardless of the player, there is always going to be someone who doesn't agree. With a player like Hudler, it's easy to jump on the "I hate Hudler and I want him GONE!" bandwagon because he came from the KHL with all these expectations. As for those who love him, they either see some potential most are missing or they have some sick sort of man crush. (for ladies, it's not sick) IMHO, I think he has the potential to be great forward and HUGE asset to this franchise. However, if we can get rid of him for someone who has proven they can put points on the sheet, then I think it's worth it. Kenny can't always focus on what he might turn into. He has a huge cap space and the opportunity to make this franchise great this season. Hudler could turn out to be a 50-65 point guy next season, no one is going to know, unless you can read the future then I would like ya to tell me when we Sidney Crosby is going to retire so I can start to plan the party. Kenny is going to have some interesting decisions to make come July 1st.

So thrilled Nick is gonna come back and grace us with his talent for one more year. Really wanna see him go out on top with his name on the trophy one more time. With that being said....I'm gonna enjoy my freedom for now cause when July 1st get's here, I won't not be glued to my computer. I think starting July 1st, you are going to see this team take a direction it hasn't taken in a few years. A direction that will put us back on top and bringing the Cup back to the only city it belongs in. LET'S GO WINGS!!!!

I like this! I would like to see Jagar and Helm on the same line. I think Jagar's skill and Helm's speed would really open up the ice to either Flip or Eaves or whoever they put on that line.

Ahh there we go. I read it wrong. Pick him up if he can out perform huddler. If he can take some of the attention away from Dats, I think that would be even better. Put him on Dats line and he would have no choice but to be good. That will be the quickest learning curve that he could get back into the NHL.

I'm just curious, is that a personal preference or is there some rule that you are referring to? I am just curious what angle ya taking on that.

If he is putting up 49 pts in 19 games, I think he'll put up maybe 55 in the NHL. I know 49 pts in 19gm looks amazing but we can all agree that the talent level in the KHL is nothing what it is in the NHL. We saw how long it took Hudler to change from the KHL to the NHL this season. I'm not sure he ever really got going. If he comes over, how long is it going to take him to transition back to the NHL and do we have the roster space to put a guy on the ice just to see if he develops and can bring us the 50-60 pts we are looking for from a wing? I personally think we need a guy who is going to step on the ice ready to perform and the ability to compete here immediately. ^THIS I think this sums up the entire problem here. If we can get him and he can outperform Hudler, take him at the right price. I'm just scared of the transitioning period.

I agree with the Hudler proposition. If Jagar has any left in the tank, it's maybe 2 years at best. I know he wouldn't sign for a million, that's why I suggested it. Can anyone get his stats from Russia. I mean I know Russia doesn't have what the NHL has but if he is performing and putting up some points, maybe he will be worth trading Huds and getting him. Also, if he is older, isn't he more prone to injuries!?!? What happens if we get him and he gets hurt first 2 weeks....it was a waste. I just think the risks outweigh the potential rewards here. Show me his stats and prove me wrong please! I want the Wings to be better, I just don't know if picking up Jagar alone or swapping him and Huds is what the Wings need to make a run next year.

:ranting: :ranting: I say we offer him about $1 million. Nothing more and that's it 2 or 3 years at max. I don't see him bringing anything to this team we don't already have. We need to save the cap space for a top 4 defensemen. I am infuriated that Ken is even thinking about this. I just don't see what he is going to bring to the team that we don't already have.

My biggest fear is overpaying someone who is supposed to be a "1-2 guy" and he turns out to be a "3-4 guy". I would have said before both assistants left that we could turn him into a 1-2 but now, we have no idea. Apparently Ken is making Babcock make a decision as well as Lids before the awards at the end of next week. Depending on who we get as assistants would determine whether or not we take him. I wouldn't be surprised for some teams to match if not raise our offer for a short period of time. There are a lot more teams out there with higher caps. I would love to have Wiz in the Winged Wheel, just at this point, I am unsure of everything until we get coaches. Do the montreal fans think he is worth the risk as 1-2 guy? Or are they saying for safe measure, put him as a 3-4 guy?

I agree 100% that the retaliation was uncalled for and cheap. The point I was making is if the no call had actually been called, I think the game could be completely different with a 4 min PP. I'm not saying they would have scored twice but they would have had 4 min to try. Vancouver is just a bunch of sore losers and they are pissed they are getting beat in their own place.

Maybe a little niave but I think that high stick no call could have changed the entire shape of this game. You guys must be mistaken my statement. See my reply lower down if this didn't make it clear.
