I like the way we look this year. We have the players. We need Ozzie to heal and I think we have to depth to make a solid run at the Cup. My only concern is this, lately, we have been unable to win at home. If we finish the year where we are, we would finish 2nd in the West which would give us home ice all the way until the conference finals. (assuming all the top seeds win out) Because of this, our inconsistency at home scares me with the amount of home games we are going to have to play being a top seed. If we can find a way to pick up some momentum in the final home stands that we have, maybe the Joe can become a feared place to play again. We are 17-10-2 at home. That just doesn't scream confidence to me. However, we are 22-8-3 on the road. We have been playing better on the road. If they don't find a way to make the Joe a stomping ground for any team that dares to step into it's confines, then we don't make it past the 2nd round. If we start to show up at home and our goaltending steps up(with or without Ozzie) we can win it all. Jimah(!) is a great goalie and I would put a lot of money on him taking us deep into the playoffs. With all that being said, we have a great team, a great coach, and a great chance to bring home Lord Stanley's cup.

Look.... I'll be the first to admit, for the first half of the season, I was s***ting on Huds' parade all day long! I couldn't stand him. He was slow...he was out of position and constantly turning the puck over. Look at him now! He is like the bastard child everyone made fun of! Now he is stepping up his game, filling his role, and playing some amazing hockey. Yes, Dats does draw attention to himself and makes everyone on his line just a little better. But....and there is always a but...Huds is playing out of his mind right now. WIth that, and the everyday play of Dats, this line is becoming deadly as s***! Can you imagine what happens if Franzen decides he wants to start scoring again. With the chemistry these guys are developing, this could be a huge boost for a cup run. If you are part of the "Hudler hand-job mafia", admit to yourself this one thing, Dats is helping Hudler shine. Hudler is like a classic car and Dats is the wax. Without the wax, the car still looks amazing cause it's vintage, rare, and in great form. But with the wax, the car shines that much brighter. That is the best analogy I could come up with. Cleary is the shiny hubcaps you whip out right before a show that you spend 6 hours hand polishing with a wax made from rare whale oils.

I feel bad for Miller cause he didn't get to play against his brother, yeah that sucks. But C'Mon Khan!!!!! Really?!?! You have to write this at this point in the season?!?! :ranting: We are getting healthy and he is going to ruin that mojo with this horrible piece of journalism. If any key player gets hurt in the next week, I personally will lead the assault team to Khan's front door step. God help him if someone gets hurt...

I think people are freaking out for no reason. Guys, ladies if they are here, we lost a game. Yeah it sucked we couldn't make it 6 in a row but you can't win them all and the streak had to end at some point. They did give up some dumb penalties, they did give up some dumb goals, and yeah we came away with an L. But honestly, Vancouver lost as well as the Flyers. We are still 5 points back with 1 game in hand of the Nucks. Every one needs to chill the hell out and take a deep breath. We have a tough team Thursday night as well so everyone prepare for that. The Wings will bounce back like they always do. I like where we sit. I'm glad we are us and not Chicago or Dallas fighting for a playoff spot. Let's all breathe! Have faith in Babs and Holland and all will be well. Go Wings Go!
