haha sorry. I worded that wrong. I remember everyone speculating that the NJD would pick him up and rewaive him so he could report to the Wings. So if the Isles waive him and no one else put in a claim in the 1st time, Wings get first claiming rights. If that clears that up at all.

If no other team put a claim in for him the first time, the Wings will have first dibs at reclaiming him! If someone else put in a claim for him, they will get first shot before the Wings. That was the way I was understanding the whole situation. That's why it was though earlier that NJD would pick him up and just rewaive him so the Wings could have them.

Pierre LeBrun is also reporting that Nabby won't report to the Islanders. Put him back on waivers so we can have him!!!

What's worse...playing the waiting game till the deadline? Or playing the waiting game after the previous waiting game to here the news that will probably crush our spirits till at least the All-Star Break.

15 minutes!!! I've never been this excited for a let down in my life. My gut says he won't be a wing but all the prayers I've said are for him being a wing.

They said they would announce it at noon EST!!! That probably means about 245-3ish

Regardless of who get him, they said they won't say till tomorrow after the waiver period is over. So my suggestion would be drink up, pass out, wake up tomorrow, and we'll either have a new goalie or about 500 pissed off LGW members. Either way, tomorrow should be entertaining.

If it starts trending, I'll be surprised.

NJD won't claim Nabby. 1 down, a lot more to go. I figured that was our best shot at a cheap Nabby but who knows. 2 1/2 hours down, 21 1/2 to go. I will have no fingernails by the end of this whole situation.

Haha after reading all this ya would think so but not yet. He has to clear waivers. His 24 hour waiver period started at noon EST. So he is a solid 25 minutes into his waiver period. Only 23 hours and 35 minutes left of waiting! But like most on here, it's highly doubtful he'll actually clear waivers. The only logical way he becomes a Red Wing is if by some miraculous deal with the NJD and no one else puts in a claim for him.

Depends on how bad some of the GMs in the league don't want the Wings to have him.

Why couldn't the NJD pick up Nabby and then trade him to the Wings for a draft pick? Unless I am dead wrong, I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

I don't think Jimmy is going anywhere or needs any sort of message. I think Kenny wants to bring in a veteran net presence into the Wings. Maybe....just maybe, we get Nabby and he helps Jimmy and makes him step up his game. I don't think there is anything ridiculous going on here, I think it's flat deal and it's all going to depend on whether or not if he gets claimed. 1 hour till waiver start, I said a rosary and few other prayers last night. I praying Nabby ends up with the Wings tomorrow. If he does, it'll be the first time I drink champagne at lunch time!

The wings won't get rid of Eaves! If they keep Miller over Eaves, I'll be furious. And if I'm not mistaken, isn't the deal only for 1 year.

I just saw that the Devil might claim Nabby and then put him on Waivers so the Red Wings can claim him that way. That's off a tweet I got.

Great period! Franzen and Mursak had great opportunities there!!! Shoulda got at least 1! Not complaining though. Wings look great. PK was a little scary, way too much time in our end but overall, looking good. Keep it up boys!
