Honestly, I think he knows better than this. You can bet his agent and himself are talking now and he knows Detroit wants him. I can almost guarantee he also knows how much cap space the Wings are going to have this offseason. He is probably thinking, "They want me to replace the Perfect Human. They will pay me more to get me there because they might loose their 2nd best d-man (Stewie). They want me. They can always pull some prospects up or get cheaper UFA to fill the void if they pay big for me." On the other topic, the fans in Nashville are great and they take the team very seriously. As for the front office, I don't know. But gut tells me, Nashville won't keep both Weber and Suter. If Preds continue winning and have a legit shot at making a cup run, Suter will stay in Nashville and see what the front office does to either help the team or do nothing. I think he hits the open market with money signs in his eyes.

Yeap! Going out on a limb here but I think he nets one tonight. If I'm wrong, oh well! One less Canadian to worry about putting one past Jimmy and his streak goes on to whatever it is now.

I'm with most people, it sucks that he has to deal with these symptoms every day. I get chronic migraines so I get what some of the problems are. However, if this was any other play or in the NHL, he wouldn't get nearly this much attention. I can't stand Crosby but I will be the 1st to admit that he is good for the NHL. Bottom line is, I don't give a s***. The only time I'll give a s*** is if he comes back and plays the Wings in the SCF. Personally, I think with all this media time that's not going to Crosby, they could focus on a new young player such as Ryan Nugent-Hopkins who is having a great season as a rookie straight from the draft. There are plenty of stories to follow right now. Get off Crosby and focus on the players that are able to still play the game and provide entertainment to the NHL fan base.

I'm not from around Detroit. I am from Mississippi. The only time I get to watch the game is when the dude from freeredwings.tv streams. (should be nominated for Sainthood btw) I don't really care about the commercials. I'm sure for local people they are a pain in the ass or repetitive or whatever, but I am just thankful I get to watch my favorite sports team play every night and get to enjoy the amazing franchise that is the Red Wings. From down south and from a Red Wings fan for 16 years.... Let's Go Wings!

Yeah I'm with you on that. I accidentally compared Perry instead of Ryan. Oops. My apologies. But I think the trade deadline will be very inresting for us considering the cap space that we have available as well as the prospects that we may or may not be willing to dish out.

At the time of this post, Perry has 35 points while Hudler has 27 with the same amount of games played. If you go back further and look at past seasons, Perry put up 98 pts in 2010/2011, Hudler wasn't even close to that. Perry in 09/10 put up 76 points while Hudler put up 54 in the KHL. If you look at their STATS side by side, Perry is definitely the better player as least as far as points goes. I don't see the Ducks giving up Perry for a guy who has yet to prove that he can consistently bring the offensive power that they would lose with Perry. I'm all for the Ducks taking Hudler, a prospect (such as Tartar) and a few picks. I'm not sure though. I am going to hate to see Stewie go but if the price is right, the return is right, and it can help the Wings make a run at the cup this year, I'll say goodbye with a less bitter heart. I like what you did here. The only thing I'm thinking is that Hudler is going to have to continue to put up points like he has been all the way up to the deadline to become a valuable trade asset. Right now if I am a Gm, I am thinking he is just going through a phase. If he can continue to put points up, stay healthy, and prove he has some value on another team, I think that's the only time he could be considered a trade option. But overall, I think Ryan and Brookbank would look great in a the Winged Wheel. Also, did they say that Ryan was one of the "untouchables"? I had this thought midway through my response.

This idea is great but I've heard from the Michigan game they had there a few years ago, it was hard to see all of the players and follow the puck and play. I'm not from Michigan. I've never been to the "Big House" but I've heard this might have been a problem and I wonder if this will play into the decision.

This is just a thought and as far as my knowledge on trading and draft picks, prospects, etc. goes, I am not very knowledgable but I had this idea in the shower this morning and I was just wondering if it could work.... With Stuart all but writing it down, we can almost ensure that he is going to be moving out West. With Anaheim being at the bottom of the conference and their recent statement that everyone is up for sale minus a few (don't recall exact players), why couldn't we send Stuart to Anaheim for a 1st round pick and another along with a prospect. Stuart would be a great anchor for them to start building their defense around. Beauchemin and Stuart would make a great top pair from what I can recall about Beauchemin's play. Also, this would give us the opportunity to draft a young player high in draft (assuming Anaheim doesn't go bat s*** in the 2nd half of the season) or keep that draft pick and trade it away for players or draft picks later in the draft as the Red Wings have been one to do in years past. If the season ended today, the Ducks would have the 4th overall pick in the draft. I think Stuart would be an immediate impact player and he could start right away. With us having so many defensive prospects and the cap space available this offseason (assuming a trade deadline move didn't happen) we could easily replace Stuart with someone younger or a player such as Suter or Boychuck. Again, my knowledge on this topic is very limited I just thought of this on the fly. Is there something I missed? Would this work and is it something that could potentially happen?

Did they get together and decide not to show up tonight? This is sad.....i mean they are the 2nd worst team in the league and we are 2nd in our conference! How can we expect any team to take us seriously in the playoffs if we can't beat the Islanders on the road?!!?!
