I believe that Babcock has already tried playing Abdelkader on the wing, and it wasn't a success (not this season, last year in the playoffs), and so wants both him and Helm to centre lines.
-
Emrick... 'Drive!'
-
Nonsense - Detroit is an American team, because their best player is from Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
-
I know. Like I said, he has an attitude problem.
-
He also has a fight card... http://www.hockeyfights.com/players/8097

If Tony Twist could put on 40 pounds in the off-season, why couldn't Leino?
-
Though there are other mistakes in there, such as using 'fails' instead of 'fail'.
-
I confess I don't know where you're going with this - are you arguing that the first part of it should read 'Dan Cleary has [some] newfy blood'? He is correct to use 'sum' where he does, it is not the same word as 'some'.

Is Sean Avery the Best Agitator in League History?
NGKEIB replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
"Which player would you love to cross-check into the boards?" "The guy I owe the most right now is Kirk Maltby from Detroit. He busted in my nose earlier this year. I was going after Chris Chelios, and there was a big pile, and it happened so quick. When people come together, they’re coming from all angles. And it was more of a really, really giant ***** slap. I don’t think Maltby knows how to punch, he just knows how to slap. He got me good. But I know Malts would never square off and fight me. If I dropped my gloves, he’d skate away and I’d get a penalty." Source: http://jesgolbez.blogspot.com/2006/08/sean...ell-on-ice.html -

I agree - what better way to irritate someone than to get under their skin, draw a penalty or two, on top of consistently making good plays (either offensively or defensively)? I think that there are times where he really hurts his team (then again, the same could be said of Tik - 1998 anyone?) For the record, in an interview, Sean Avery said the player in the league he disliked most was Maltby... -
Can't really find any fault with that decision. I fantasise about Abdelkader turning into a Gallant Scoring, fighting and taking lots of penalties (the first will hopefully come, the second he has to show more of, but he's got the third one down pat!).

Do what we did with Conklin - when we're up by several goals, put Howard in
-
Then why isn't he fighting well?
-
I don't know, at least Hal Gill is big...
-
If Kopecky could work on his entire game, he'd be one of the top players in the league too.
-
Hah, isn't that video titled 'The fight that changed the NHL'?
-
Well... Tommy K could get injured. That would pretty much kill their season.

Tomáš Kopecký > Eric Lindros

Well, we started off quite well, but give it a few more weeks and I'm sure we'll be challenging Pittsburgh for that august status. Come on boys, give it your all!
-
Having only two options is unfair. I am convinced that it is actually Homler. Or we could just call Holmström 'Holma' or 'Demolition Man' to eliminate confusion.

What Five Current NHL Players Do You Hate the Most?
NGKEIB replied to GMRwings1983's topic in General
Having no idea what he was doing, perhaps combined with a desire to perhaps only get called for roughing, while the other combatant gets a five minute major. Most likely also reeling from the effects of being hit in the head. -
The grading isn't objective - I'm sure it's based on how each person has performed compared to expectations et cetera.
-
Would it be too optimistic to perhaps mention his name when discussing Calder candidates? Tavares leads the forwards, and Myers seems to be the top defence candidate, but in terms of goaltenders, Rask, Varlamov and Howard all seem to merit discussion.

If the fact that he won't fight really irritates some posters on an internet forum, I'm sure it also irritates the people he plays against. And I wouldn't call Franzén a pest, and what evidence is there to say that he is terrified? I've seen him dive, and choose not to fight, but that doesn't equate to fear. -

He fought Ivanans (also in his first season).
