Here's to Mitchell Callahan tuning someone up, and Ferraro getting a brace.
-
I would like this season to be his swan song - is it really likely that he'll get a new contract? It would be nice to see him do a 'Drake' and absolutely give it his all, considering his long years of service to the Red Wings. I actually thought that he played quite well (his standards) in the playoffs.
-
The fact that he was such a s*** skater ruined any skillz he had.
-
Hah! What a crap player! What kind of loser would you need to sign to get this guy? What a weapon!

I can totally see the Panthers flying economy class, next to 5 year-old kids screaming and by the bathrooms. Half of the time their luggage gets lost too.

Some sarcastic predictions? Todd "Backcheck" Bertuzzi Justin "No Giveaways on the Point" Williams Jimmy "Minnesota Man" Howard Jonathan "It's A Good Thing People Aren't Considering Me Probert v.2.0 Based On One Fight" Ericsson Darren "I Will Meet The Expectations Of Some And Net 20" Helm Sorry, I've had quite a lot to drink tonight.

Hey, I recognise you from your signature. I must say, I'd rather look at Brigitte Bardot (in spite of her interesting political views) than Tie Domi. I think that "Bull's Eye" is the best one so far. Robert "110%" Lang

www.myp2p.eu has info about lots of streams, whether sopcast, TVAnts, justin.tv etc. I still think that one of the best ways to watch hockey (though not live, but if you don't check the results its still okay) is to download it from nhltorrents.co.uk - no ads, no lag, very good streams. Games will usually be posted the next morning.

Wings-Pens would be fun, especially if the Pens had faced Toronto in round one, Boston in round two and Philadelphia in the CF : )
-
Could have been worse. They might have called him Vittu.
-
That shouldn't be a problem - it will definitely be shown on Swedish TV, so streaming will work.
-
Yep. That's only a good thing I guess. Though I fear that Maltby won't get much action this year...

Bertuzzi is certainly the most exciting new face in our line-up - he has both the highest offensive potential, and also the biggest capacity for a flop. I'm leaning towards the former, and can't wait to see him play. I agree with the above comments regarding his possible linemates. Top two lines anyone? Preseason will tell... Zetterberg/Datsyuk-Zetterberg/Datsyuk-Holmström Franzén-Filppula-Bertuzzi Last two are harder... Helm and Draper will probably both be centres, but it's hard to find suitable wingers. Neither Cleary, Leino or Williams really belong on the fourth line, but none of them are natural centres (as far as I know). I guess Cleary could split time between the fourth line and the first line. Leino-Helm-Williams? Cleary-Draper-Eaves/Maltby Eaves/Maltby

If he's going to Phoenix on a one-year deal, he must have been pretty desperate. But I guess he couldn't play the right point on the second unit...

Hey, If you're the textbook who uploads on NHLtorrents, thanks! Re coverage, I wasn't able to find any more info than you could - but the first game against the Flyers is apparently going to be on NHLtorrents (so someone must be showing it, but my guess would be a local Philadelphia station). Maybe more info will come later? More than 3 of Detroit's games would be broadcast, you'd think.
-
In terms of hockey, I'm not depressed - I'm just bored... Can't wait for the pre-season to kick off! I'm sure the 4 games against Philly and Toronto will be very passive...
-
They should give him the same stuff that Ivan Drago was taking.

I wasn't that impressed by this site. I usually see what I can find on myp2p.eu, or if not (especially if watching the game means staying up really late as I live in Europe) I'll often download the game the next morning, without checking scores online and watch it at my leisure (www.nhltorrents.co.uk is a really great site). The added bonus is that it doesn't take long at all to download, usually, and whoever uploads it edits out all of the ads and crap, so you don't spend 5 hours watching it (I've got to say, I'd rather have uninterrupted play, and stick ads on the uniforms...). I don't think that the NHL had anything to do with it, and Atdhe is still up. Apparently what had happened was that someone had managed to tap into an internal Versus feed, and they broadcast it. Versus fixed the glitch I can't get it where I live... NASN is the closest thing, but streaming and/or downloading is the best, as far as I'm concerned.

Harding and (Ulf) Samuelsson vs Kerrigan and Neely.

I know. Remember that one time where he took out Hiller? Pronger didn't push him at all, Hudler was just trying to establish a net presence.
-
Sammy = clutch. Dream on... I haven't seen him play that much, but I get the impression that he doesn't play with as much grit as he used to at all. Also, he's apparently pretty lazy, e.g. turns puck over in offensive zone, then skates slowly to bench to change etc. But he might be worth a shot. Well, since he was injured... I wouldn't call him a liability. Hmm... A healthy Holmström is capable of putting up 20+ goals, and helping countless others be scored. He pays a huge price to be at th.e front of the net, and is the best at what he does. He can play rough too. For a Holmström that isn't healthy (like he was in the playoffs this year), he still has lots of value.
