Are you sure Helm isn't waiver exempt? (Irrelevant in any case, as he will not be sent down, this is just a theoretical question.)
-
I think that we're more likely to see Franzén-Zetterberg-Cleary or Franzén-Filppula-Bertuzzi.

Gordie Howe hat-trick for Slick Willy as Wings win 2-0 (other goal by Todd the Bod).
-
Oh, so you don't mean it in the sense of 'If only Calgary had a top-flight player so that they could get injured'. I thought that you were getting confused about Edmonton.

Hillen takes Ovie's heavy black rubber object in the mouth?
-
Wow, sorry, I didn't realize that my friends and I were being such a bother.

I don't have any problem with this. Initially it almost looks like Gaborik is the one who wants to fight. If Carcillo could just control his tempter incidents (Ã la Bradley etc.) he'd be a good guy to have. I really like the Flyers fourth line, and after the Wings, they're the team I support the most (the only NHL game I've ever seen was in Philadelphia).

The funniest goalie-player incidents I can recall were in a Sweden-Finland game. Salo went behind the net, tried to check Jokinen, fell over, and Jokinen got an interference penalty. Later in the same game, Jokinen was pushed into Salo's crease, so Salo started hitting him in the head. Jokinen got another two minutes...

The answer is clearly Petr Klima.

Yes, because all of Europe's best players either play in the NHL or the AHL...

I think that if the Wings play like they did against the Sharks (and like they did against the Capitals earlier in the year), and are able to get a few goals and stifle Washington's offense, they will be fine. It will come down to effort. Hopefully they'll be feeling hungry as things haven't gone their way recently.

I don't know - I still feel that Zetterberg has the capability of playing several levels above Helm defensively. Though that will probably only come out in the playoffs. How about Lebda and Rafalski as the d-men, and throwing in Meech (he can play forward too, you know!). Would that do the trick?
-
In that case, you'll never guess which player on the Swedish roster is currently injured.

Same place as always: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/nhl-icehockey/496...y-jan-14th.html As things stand, the only stream will be a Yahoo one, requiring a US or Canadian IP address (which can be fixed...).

I agree - if there is a 5-on-3, the first guy I want out there is Zetterberg. However, things as they are, I see no reason to take PK time away from our 3rd and 4th liners who have so far done a very good job.

When they started winning cups.
-
Yes, I believe that the main units have been Helm and Eaves and Maltby and Miller.
-
Anyone else thinks that picture looks like Tyler Kennedy?
-
That stands to reason - before this season we had only seen Helm play in the playoffs, and obviously he's not playing with as much intensity in the regular season.

What you need is a great name... A name that will strike fear into the hearts of fans when they see him on the ice... That name is Derek Meech... (Red Wings fans, that is.)

Could you elaborate on the your sound - progressive death metal with techno? The Lone Octopi Octopodal Tap

Anyone recall his bout with Salmela? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKgesqKw9aA
-
Yes, you are correct, he was centering Leino and Maltby in games 1 and 2. http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2009/05/kr...tsyuk_rema.html

I honestly can't remember, and can't be bothered to go look in archived games or ones I've downloaded...

I can't wait to see David Backes vs Shea Weber, Jarome Iginla, Zdeno Chara, Douglas Murray etc.
