Agree. I wish Babcock would bench or demote Ericsson and Franzen especially b/c they simply aren't getting it done, and it's making everyone around them worse. The fact that Ericsson remains on the top D pairing is a joke, and Franzen, well, everyone knows about him

I don't get how in all this time that Franzen has essentially 'clocked out' of being a factor for this team on most nights, no one has ever really called him out on it, I mean from the coaching staff and/or players It's always crap like, 'Yeah, 'ol Mule's gotta get going, we need him out there' and generic stuff like that- perhaps more is said behind closed doors, but if it is, it still isn't getting through I wish a coach and/or teammate would publicly call him out, might wake his despondent ass up

Holland only likes to acquire former former Red Wings, and will pay handsomely for them (like the Quincey trade) only Weiss, Miller, Cleary, DeKeyser and Monster were not drafted by the Wings, if I'm not mistaken I think Holland is obsessed with having a completely homegrown team lol

perhaps, but unless hapless Holland does something to make that even a possibility, it'll probably never happen

Ericsson is out of his depth on the top pairing, he is at best suited for 3rd pairing/PK duties only

yes, as many of us have pointed out, Holland continues to fail at providing Babs with a competent D, and as more and more time passes, it seems less and less likely he's ever going to actually do anything about it aside from paying them salaries as though they are actually worth them, as if paying them like top-4 d-men will somehow morph them into being such
