well if nothing else the kids got a lot of invaluable experience this run Smith, Kindl, Andersson, Brunner, Nyqvist, Emmerton- a little bit for Lashoff, DeKeyser got a brief taste as they say, losing is the best teacher and hopefully the guys grow from it like a lot of other folks here, I think we should let Flip go, he made himself expendable also should jettison Cleary, Bert, Sammy, & White though 2 of those still have contracts would also like to see Mule gone, he's gonna be 34 by year's end and he's a shell of his former playoff self and likely will never get to that level again anyway, still proud of our guys this year and hope to take the East by storm in the fall! LGW!!!

This. While it would feel freaking awesome right now to have beaten the Hawks tonight, we would have an even taller mountain to climb playing another series out West. Also, if we had won we would have to turn around and fly out to LA since game 1 would've been on Friday night and Flip probably wouldn't be available, and Helm and DeKeyser are still out, etc. etc.

well we have one thing going for us the Hawks are coached by Joel Quennville we are like his kryptonite I'm gonna say our much-maligned boy Smith for the win LGW!

ever since his SO in game 4 he hasn't looked as sharp to me, but he also hasn't gotten much help from his defense, either we need at least one of those things firing on all cylinders if we're gonna have a chance Wed. night with the way things have gone for most of these playoffs, it's gonna have to be Howard

Wings will now need short memories before Wednesday night bad calls by the refs tonight for sure, but we reacted rather poorly to them instead of shaking it off Howard was still jawing at the ref after Frolik scored, but he looked like a deer caught in the headlights when he got scored on, totally let it get into his head our stars MUST show up for a change- Dats, Z, and Mule have 2 goals combined in 6 games in this series, that is way short of what is needed but they've almost got away with not scoring consistently b/c our 3rd and 4th lines have bailed them out but if ever there was a time that we needed them, it's Wednesday night

yeah even when super Hawks homer says it was a bad call that really says something from possible elation to maddening frustration in the 3rd tonight none of our stars stepped up tonight, very disappointing

our 3rd period meltdowns have returned serious gut-check time although the refs continuing letting the hawks get away with everything, including being offsides, doesn't help

well at least that powerplay created some chances keep it up for one more period

it is pretty scary that he's tied for the team lead in goals you hear that, Brunner and Franzen? you're tied with Daniel Cleary in goals doesn't that just piss you off? maybe enough that you both want to score back-to-back natural hat-tricks to get some distance between you and 'ol Dann-o?

thank goodness it's tied after 1, didn't look so good for most of that period Wings have got to be the better team at even strength b/c I do not see us winning the special teams battle, Hawks PK is owning us so, we've gotta be smarter and harder than them in every other facet and keep them on their heels until the refs start calling them for their penalties

man I wish we had Helm and DeKeyser back

that may be the most depressing thing I've read on these forums

he and Flip need to wake up if we're going to go anywhere they've both been mostly non-factors save for a couple of plays so far this post-season
