To many what-ifs in this thread, the red wings have to stop trading away there younger players.... lang for Fleischmann...getting bertuzzi for Shawn Matthias. How well did they work out?? I would be pissed if they traded for a player that has a extremely good chance to leave at the end of the season unless you trading someone who has the possibility of leaving anyways.

Dont care what anyone says if you watch the PK he is out of position on most goals

Besides the fact that they're incredibly conceited and don't respect teams that are supposedly "lesser" than they are, they absolutely cheated to win the Cup last year. I never had strong feelings either way about them before last years' playoffs, where they hooked and held on to sticks and kicked the puck back to a winger in order to "win" faceoffs, pinned people to the boards and held on to them repeatedly, mysteriously "fell" when they conveniently needed a power play, etc. You name it, they did it in order to "win". I don't care what pundits or anyone else said- they cheated and got away with it. I'd initially thought that the refs were biased, but now I'm convinced that it's the old "well, they're a great defensive, puck possession team" thing and since they're OBVIOUSLY that, what they're doing must be legal. Of course, you could argue that if the rules were changed for the playoffs, other teams should have picked up on that and cheated right back...but that's not how real men play. Even Tippett, who NEVER complains about the other team cheating, alluded to that fact. And I'm defintiely not the only person to have seen it. There is a clause in the CBA which allows you to buy out players contracts...Draper and Maltbys both need to be in my opinion. If you watch the PK Andres Lilja makes so many ****ing mistakes drives me insane. Dont know if anyone else notices. In the new cap world you need to give your younger players a chance to play. Holland is a smart guy pretty sure he can see whats going on. For next season hopefully he can convince Lidstrom to take a small pay cut (to him anyways) of 500k- 750k to keep one more player cause i have a suspicion Red Wings are gonna be extremely close to the cap.
