Why would you do that when Conklin is earning his role as starter. What's important is the team as a whole getting in the groove with a goattender they feel confident can get the job done. I'm starting to feel that way about Conklin despite my earlier calls that we need another goaltender. Osgood's getting back into form is important but is secondary as Conklin is now establishing himself as our starter going into the playoffs.

Your points are well taken, I have the same view that we need bolsetring on the D ; particularly if the goaltending remains as is.

I know one thing we do have a cloud over our goaltending. There's only two ways to address it. One find someone maybe Lehtonen, you might be rigth here he might have a shot at it ; or another netminder. If not that then a stay home physical defenseman.

Don't be ridiculous Lindstrom is an untouchable. Then if you think Homer is too then Franzen should be used to get a tough defensman in return. We don't need both of them, and I'm not keen on signing Franzen to a longterm deal no way at all.

Totally agree with you mule is a misnomer for this guy. Remember when Gary Roberts took a swat at him last year in the Finals and he did a big song and dance, kind of wimpy his act was even if it was to draw a penalty. It's funny I felt the same about Hossa at the outset as you did, but now I see him as part of the big picture. Franzen I'd trade in a heartbeat for a gritty defenseman.

Anyhow I'v been with the Wings forever I saw Gary Unger the Iron man play who they should have never dealt- that was a an integral piece of the future then snuffed out even though we got the Red Baron. There are areas where we can turn our game up a notch - were lacking some toughness up front and some on the D ; theres's more than enough finesse on this team to go around, we need personnel for the fight in the trenches to be dramatic about it ; cuz that's what it will be against the Sharks and the Bruins if and when we meet them- and let's not forget the Devils either with Shanny!
