Once again, hossa might be underachieving, but he does have 15 points in 22 games and he does lead the team in takeaways. If that makes him "suck", well, I guess you're entitled to your opinion. But as we all know, opinions are like assholes........everyone has one.

Last July when we acquired Hossa, if you would have told me that on June 12th, we'd be in the SCF game 7 with home ice advantage, I'd have taken that in a heartbeat. I have a feeling that some on this forum would have been angry and said something to the effect of "Yea, but if we hadn't picked up Hossa, I bet we'd have already won the finals". Expectations for this team are, and should be, at the highest level possible. It truly amazes me how fans, 99% of which don't know how to put on a jock, criticize the efforts of of the very athletes who give their all to provide endless entertainment for 8 or 9 months out of a year. Yea, I'm the one with temper and maturity issues.....give me a break!!

As do I........just as I'd like to see more production from Hudler and Holmstrom.........but I, unlike a s***load of idiots who have formed the Hossa lynch mob, refuse to place all this blame solely on him. I've yet to see anyone point out an aspect of his play that has directly led to a score that cost the Wings even 1 game. If Holland chooses not to re sign him after the finals are over, I'll back him on that decision. Should the unthinkable happen and the Wings lose game 7 of Friday nite, this forum will canabalize everyone from Babs to Holland to a whole litany of players to an extent never exceeded here.

I'm not saying he's been stellar, and he certainly could have scored more goals, but, if any of you say he's the major reason the Wings haven't wrapped up this series yet, you are even more mentally bankrupt than the obvious would suggest.

I usually agree with most everything you post, but 15 points in 22 games and playing defense the way he has the majority of the time is hardly "not showing up". If Hossa hasn't shown up, what would you have to say about Hudler and Holmstrom? (This is all in a relative sense......I'm not bashing either of those two)

The Vegas odds are on our side to............the Wings are -170 for this game and they were only -150 to win the series when it started. Simply put, the Wings are a heavier favorite to win this game 7 than they were to beat the Pens in a 7 game series. GO WINGS!!!!

Never said Hossa played well...... but, to my recollection neither Pittsburgh goal had a thing to do with him......nor did the ziillion shots we took from the point that were no where near the net.....nor did Cleary missing the break away. Do you think he was the only one who underacheived tonite? It's become obvious lately that alot of supposed fans on this forum think the Wings are not only the best team in the league, but no other team is even in the same universe. For your information, Einstein, the Pens were favored to win this game. Let me spell that out for you.......the people who make money setting lines and gambling on this s*** thought the Wings would get beat tonite. How about giving the Pens a little credit. They havent lost a home game in a month......they were good enough to win 3 rounds before this one......and contrary to what you might think, they are a worthy opponent. That being said, I'm making a huge wager on the Wings to win Game 7. They're my team, and I look at them as I do a band of soldiers.......I won't criticize them while they're in the heat of battle. Do so if you like......maybe if you ever get the chance to meet some of these guys in person perhaps you'd like to repeat some of the comments you make about them behind that computer monitor.
