You know it Flip....after all, it's painfully obvious that it's solely Hossa's fault we lost that game
-
I'd love to be on qa team n the heat of battle with a bunch of you pathetic morons.....any adversity and the sky is falling. I bet the Wings loving having fans like you guys.
-
I guess the Pens didnt deserve to win tonite for Saturday's s***, did they you fair weather idiot?
-

Typical moronic comment
-
Pens opened at -145 in vegas..........late money on the Wings has it down as low as -115 in some places..........I predict this one goes to the very end with Lids getting the winning goal at 3:34 left in the game to win 3-2..........GO WINGS!!!!!!
-
Maybe that's because soccer is a boring crap of a sport.

I too was at game 4, and here were my observations: 1) Out of all the sporting events I've ever attended, in no building will you be more outnumbered than a playoff game in Pittsburgh. There ticket policy makes it one of the hardest tickets for a fan of a visiting team to get. 2) When walking to the stadium through the tailgaiters, keep your head down and walk quickly. You'll be subjected to tons of booing, finger pointing and good natured banter.....but there will be the occasional idiot who will get in your face and give you the good ole "f*** you" and "i'm gonna kick your ass" type remarks. 3) In the stadium, more heckling and, as the game gets more intense, a bit more viscious remarks. 4 When leaving the arena, especially if the Wings win, LOOK OUT. Tons of angry drunks wanting to pick fights......people throwing beer on you, and in general, you'll be exposed to the worst of the worst, THE WORST ******* PIECE OF s*** FANS ALIVE. I've also been to watch the Wings in playoff games at Dallas, Denver and Anaheim, and the Penguin experience was far and away the worst I've ever been exposed to. (yea, even worse than Denver) But, ***** as I may, I'm damn sure glad I went. Good luck, and go Wings!!

I've always thought the World Cup was a decent sportiing event, but in the U.S. soccer won't ever be as big as it is in Europe or South America.

It's perfect the way it is. How much fun has this journey, and last year's too, been? Besides, the longer a series is, the better chance that the best team wins. It would be so much easier for a hot goaltender to steal a best of 5 than a best of 7. No changes to the format.....not now......not ever.
-
All goaltenders except Reg Leach, who only happened to score 19 goals in the playoffs which is still a record I think. Looks like it almost has to be a goaltender who stands on his head for the losing team to win the Conn Smythe, so it doesn't bode well for Malkin or Crosby cause unfortunately they will be playing for the LOSING TEAM!!!!.......Go Wings!!!

Any Chance Tavares Replaces Crosby as the New NHL Poster Boy?
soonboomer replied to Probie's topic in General
Let me start by saying that I'm no Crosby fan and that his childish behavior in this series has been a flat out embarassment. But, as far as him being the poster boy for marketing the league, like him or not, he's far and away the best player available. The kid is likeable to prospective fans........alot of females think he's a very attractive guy, he has a mastery of the English language, and most importantly, he walks the walk statistically. The casual fan doesn't care if he's not the greatest two way player in the league. Just like other sports, offense sells tickets (yea, I know defense wins championships). I don't know why wings fans make such a big issue of this. Let him have all the fame and individual awards he can get......if he makes the league more popular then it's a good thing for Detroit as well.......we'll just take CUPS!!!..........Go Wings!!! -
How about what's most important...CUPS
-
Crosby is an embarassment. From the hack on Maltby after game 2, to the constant whining, to the cheap s*** on Z tonite. This guy is the poster boy of the game, the guy all the kids see on all the commercials. And he's the captain of their team. Can you imagine Stevie or Nick doing any of that crap? Like I've said before, any man who makes over $8 million a year and choses, instead of buying his own place and living like the young "superstar" the media has made him out to be, he choses to basically live in his coach's basement, showing he lacks the maturity to be "given" the image and all the benefits therof that the league has created for him. Pathetic I say.

A few comments from the Pens boards Re: STANLEY CUP FINALS G5 : Pensguins @ Red Wings GDT : 6.6.09 Reply #71 - Today at 8:42pm We all knew there were two players in particular on this team who would let us down in the big game...Fleury and Gill. Today they killed us. I know what you are saying but if it goes to game seven then all bets are off for me. It's a one game series at that point. Looks like they are out there trying to hurt people right now. That is the right thing to do... whatever it takes. Swing at those ******* harder! Re: STANLEY CUP FINALS G5 : Pensguins @ Red Wings GDT : 6.6.09 Reply #81 - Today at 8:54pm Put Fleury back in....if you're going to play like a piss-ant, we are going to treat you like a piss-ant. Re: STANLEY CUP FINALS G5 : Pensguins @ Red Wings GDT : 6.6.09 Reply #83 - Today at 9:00pm Fleury got his average game in two days ago. Now he can go back to being the subpar player he's been all playoffs.

What a little *****
-
I wonder if the talking heads will make a big deal out of the Pens "confidence" now
-
I think rest are on NBC
-
NBC = good Versus = bad
-
Not true...wings are -165
-
Pittsburgh was a moderate favorite to win game 4 ($140 to win $100) and won. The Wings are a heavier favorite to win game 5 ($155 to win $100). Obviously, the people who make a living on the outcome of sporting events dont think the wings are an old and tired team.
-
Let's get real here.......it's best 2 of 3, and we have home ice. If you were offered that back on October 1st, I'm sure the whole bandwaggon would jump on that idea.
-
Certainly....a guy who's leading the playoffs in takeaways has to be "useless" and "just along for the ride". Ask any hockey coach, and they'll tell you that takeaways are the result of hustle. Sure Hossa needs to score more. But it seems so strange to me that win or lose, his name is the always the first to pop up in the blame department. Even at $7 million a year, his bang for the buck definitely is't the worst on this team.
-
Yea, its clearly obvious that it's all Hossa's fault that we lost. No way he should have allowed Stall to manhandle Raffi on that shorty.
