Why does anybody even acknowledge this pinhead? Using an analogy, it's not possible to be a fan of both the Buckeyes and the Wolverines..........you can't be a fan of both the Celtics and the Lakers.........you can't be a fan of both the Yankees and the Red Sox.........and, therefore, with what's developed over the past few years, you can't be a fan of both the Redwings and the Penguins (do any of you know of any others Carmen's that exist?). Anybody who says they're a Redwings fan yet has such manlove for Crysby and the Pens is a troll who merely posts to incite the regulars on this board. It's called being an attention *****.
-
I heart one of the talking heads on TV say that the Redwings were 0 for 95 all time when trailing by 3 or more goals in the playoffs. Could this possibly be true?
-
Unless the current method of scheduling was totally revamped, this is a bad idea. A good team in a bad division (Washington), with an overbalanced number of games against weak teams (Atlanta, Tampa Bay & Florida) would have a much softer schedule that teams in stronger divisions.
-
An endorsement from you will not endear him to this board.
-
The next time the Redwings lose a series because the other team was better or simply just outplayed them will be the first time according to some of you conspiracy theorists. No wonder the Wings fan base is among the most hated in the league.

The sky is falling.

Easily the best stick handler of his generation.

Perfect time for a game like that. Got the win, but at the same time, ought to rid them of any cockiness they might have developed since the Olympic break.

At this point in their careers, the overall consensus is that Ovie is the better player. Any predictions about future accomplishments are merely speculation. I've always found it amusing that the only people who think Crosby is the better player are North American. I'm sure there are a few, but I've yet to see anyone from Europe post in any forum saying that Crosby is the better player, while many from North America prefer Ovie's game. As for Stevie's happiness being relevant, I fail to see it. After all, the best players of Stevie's generation......Wayne and Mario.........won a few cups too.
-
Nice disclaimer. I seriously doubt any unbiased hockey fan would take Lid's current game over Crosby's, but as it has been said over and over, Ovie is the game's best player, and if he was Canadian and looked like a member of the cast of Goonies, he'd be the face of the league, not Cindy. Fact is, in the history of the game, many put Lids on the all time first defense pairing. Crosby will never be all time first anything. When you're not even the best of your generation, all time greatness is elusive. Ask Yzerman.

Avs/Kings tied at 1-1 after 1st period. Doesn't matter who wins so long as its not a 3 point game. Time for the Wings to start climbing the ladder. With two very winnable game vs. the Blues and Wild upcoming, could be the 6 seed by the the weekend. Heard an interesting stat during the game........the only teams in the West that have a winning record vs the Wings this season are, of all teams, the Oilers, the Stars and the Blues. Who would've thought it?
-
When were these comments made? Perhaps before or during the Olympics? Sound logical to me.
-
Jealous of what? His clutch play in the Stanley Cup finals? His sense of entitlement? His great displays of sportsmanship? Fact is, if Crosby wasn't Canadian, he'd get nary a mention as being the league's best player.
-
Probably in playing style if at all.......certainly not in attitude nor respect for the game. Besides, Crosby has a ****** whereas Stevie has nuts the size of watermelons.

Say what?

You've gotta love how the world's greatest player continuously gets owned by Z.

Always good to see when the whiners 10 pages back on this forum are the same guys who are now nuthuggin'. Whichever way the wind blows......
-
Care to elaborate? Both are quiet leaders who lead by example. Yzerman's cup winning teams had the benefit of being among the highest payrolled teams in the league. Lidstrom hasn't had that benefit. And, if you're basing that statement on their playing ability, I'd have to say that Lidstrom will go down in history as being regarded as the better player.
-
Based on what?
-
5-2 since the break. Howard has great body position but seems like every shot is a rebound now. Still would not even remotely consider a goaltending change for even 1 game. On to a huge game Monday nite.
-
Gotta win all the home games......no exceptions.
-
lmao.....I'm just glad that Bab's got so much smarter and Z grew some nads in the last 48 hours.

What will they ***** about today?
