Thanks for the heads up on the fact that you have never talked to Osgod, I'm glad I know that know. You don't live in Detroit but you spend the majority of your day on the Red Wings forum and ironically in a forum talking about the fans of Detroit. Snag a hobby while you're not responding to this post. I made the Hockeytown comment because the name Hockeytown leads me to believe that people would go to the game to actually watch the game rather than be getting beers and high fiving there other loser friends who are getting beers. Thats the only reason I referred to the hockeytown comment. Again, what are you doing in this thread if you're not from here. You don't have a hockey team where you're from or do you just want to be on the winning team. That may be a strong reason why you know very little about hockey. You're a huge plug for getting so into something that doesn't even pertain to you. Good job.

That would imply that I said I was smarter than someone on this thread. If you can show me where I said something of that nature, I promise I'll grow up.

Why would I need sympathy from you? It was just a normal thread until you guys had to try your best impression of Dirty Harry. This thread/site has only reinforced my belief that this city knows very little about hockey and should hop on the next sports team that gets good. *Creative comeback- douchbags = you. Did you and Osgod talk that over?

I think people who make lame jokes just to be ****** bags are below me. I also think people who say "troll" (cant come up with anything on their own) are below me.

You guys a pretty funny. Let me guess, you're a construction worker and you live in an apartment...shocking.

I made this thread to talk about the fans at games and see what everyone else had to say about it. I never was trying to make a change, thats why this is just a discussion. I don't know if you guys realize this yet but this is just a discussion forum. Babcock, Holland, and the rest of the players aren't going to listen to what you have to say, thats why its called a discussion. For some reason this thread turned into a "you're not going to be able to do anything about it so worry about yourself." Again, I'm not trying to change anything, its just to see what other fans thought. I finally was able to see that the majority of the fans posting on here are the same guys that go to the games to socialize. The majority of the responses have been about "people pay their money so they can do whatever they want." I guess I was out of line to ask the question why don't people to go there to actually watch the game and then at intermission go down and get their fix. I have no idea why that question was out of line but a lot of people were confused by it. I've been to other arena's and its not nearly as bad as Detroit so that's why I was asking the question. Let me know if anyone has a legitimate response to the discussion rather than who cares what the players think (which makes no sense), people pay money so they can do whatever they want, or give the reason that people unpredictable. I think its predictable that if you say you're going to a Red Wings game you're going to watch hockey. The question I ask is what happens after that?

Well that and the fact that I miss a lot of the game because people seem to not realize theres a hockey game going on down below. I thought this city was referred Hockeytown. Also, clever line.

Did you say f*** the players? I'm believe the players are the only reason you log onto this site. Its not hard for me to tell what type of fan you are when you say f*** the players just because you think going up and down a million times is acceptable. Its safe to say you're the reason I decided to write this thread. Someone who goes to the games to treat it like a high school football game, a cool social gathering. Can you also drink 100 beers at the game?

The usher is too busy during the middle of the play? I find that hard to believe. Its not like you have to take a number to ask the usher a question. He/she can actually tell you were you're seats are in about 5 seconds, not that long. If the usher is responding to an emergency, yes I will help but its really not that hard to ask the usher

I have no problem standing the whole game, not sure what you're talking about. The problem with standing is I have 10 guys behind me going wild because they can't see which then brings me back to the original problem. Because the issue isn't standing or sitting, its simply being able to watch the game that I paid money to see. Please come up with a comment that actually pertains to the problem. Also, you still cant compare a guy dancing at a concert to a guy going down to the concessions at a Red Wings game.

This is hockey, not a concert. A concert is totally different. Chances are you know very little about hockey if you just compared the two.

I know. It was an exaggeration but it could be like that if you wanted it to be. Thanks for a knowledgeable post. Its a lot better than, its their money so they can do what they want. Or its everyone's first game and they all got caught in traffic.

So are you totally clueless? I simply asked if people wouldn't stand up during play, why is that so hard to ask for in a city called Hockeytown. For example- Fan- "Excuse me usher, I got stuck in traffic but can you tell me where my seats are." Usher- "Sure, they are right there." Fan- "Thanks that was helpful. I'm going to wait until the tv timeout so I don't block anyones view." Usher- "Thats a good idea, its only going to be like 50 seconds anyway." Fan- "Exactly, there is no reason not to wait, plus I can see the ice better from here." Usher- "You should try that when you want to come back down as well." Fan- "Oh I will. And at least ill be sitting then." (chuckle chuckle) Usher- Laughing...."Good one. Enjoy the game."

They are a rich and popular team because they are a powerhouse. Did the Pistons and Tigers have good fan support when they were horrible. How about the lions this year? Where was their fan support?

OK. For people that still don't get it. I don't think I'm a super fan, but yes I think I'm a better fan than the people who don't pay attention to the game. Many people on here have expressed that it is annoying and frustrating trying to watch hockey with some a-hole going up and down getting beers during the middle of the period. (to that guy who does that. this isnt high school. no one cares how much you can drink) I started this post because it was embarassing listening to the players talk about our fans like that. You know, those same guys that lead you onto this site everyday to see what they're doing. Also, I love the "worry about yourself" everyone has thrown out. How about this? Just respect the people around you, its really not that difficult. I probably can add if this stuff doesn't bother you, you are probably the person annoying the hell out of me at games. Therefore I am confident I am a better fan than you. Sorry. To the fans that do feel the same way as me, thanks. I appreciate the fact that you like to watch hockey.
