Can't help but like ovechkin, not just cuz of his skills(which are great) but he is just so happy to be out there and you can tell he just loves what he's doing. Like dancing around after the game, handing out pucks to the fans. I hope he wins the cup if the wings dont.

Does the overall team defense seem to play better in front of Ty Conklin? I mean, last nights game i think conks was really tested like 1-2 times tops. While ozzy seems to get quite a bit more quality chances on him, and sees more defensive lapses in front of him. Or maybe im just blinded by my love for ozzy and im making up excuses for him... what do you guys think? p.s. i dont mean to create another goalie thread, but just wanted to share my thoughts

to ms. hockey, i didnt start this thread to say that the team purposely plays better in front of conklin, nor that it has to do with confidence in either goaltender. I just said that it seems like they're playing better defense in the games conks plays, sure ozzy lets in some soft goals but conklin hasnt exactly been a stud either. Like if ozzy was in for any of conklins 6 shutouts, i would say he could have gotten them too, because it was the overall defense that played well, not amazing goaltending.

as a big ozzy supporter, id say this is probably the best thing for him. I look forward to ihm coming back to his form from last year with a chip on his shoulder. Just the way ozzy plays his best

Did anyone else see ovechkin's crazy goal from his back tonight against Montreal. That guy is incredible and just seems to score every day, i would hate to see him in the finals.

I'm not just talking about last night, just using it as an example. Its something I've noticed throughout the year.

some of it just seems kinda random, pretty funny though

i like the fact that we're never out of a game, it just seems like even when we're down 2 in the 3rd period we seem to find a way to score and always make it interesting. oh, and of course Hossa!!
