Life's a little different when you're a professional athlete. He already spends a LOT of time away from home no matter where he is playing. One year of him playing in Detroit isnt gonna change their families lives a whole lot.

Im definately not a hossa hater, i loved him when he was with the wings and didnt have any hard feelings when he left. But come on, when in any sport, has a player made the finals 3 straight years, with three different teams, and lost each time? I'll be rooting for the Flyers, not only to see this happen, but because i really just hate the hawks.

this really isnt a big deal, and i dont get why some people are feeling betrayed or soemthing. It happens all the time in sports. I'll probably get shot for saying this, but please people, stop actign like Steve Yzerman was a god or something. he didnt turn this franchise around by himself, in fact i think Lidstrom deserves more credit than Stevie. Dont get me wrong, he was a huge part of it and was a great leader of the franchise.

this is kinda ridiculous really, just becasue he's part fo another organization now it doesnt mean it diminishes what he did for the wings. Thats like saying Chicago Bulls fans shouldnt wear MJ jerseys simply because he finished his career with the wizards.

I think we can admit that Finnish wing was right. Ville didnt have any confidence playing with the wings and it showed. Maybe Babcocks constant calling him out just didnt motivate Ville the way it would other guys, probably just made the situation worse actually. I think Ville/Babcock just werent a great Player/coach match .

i thought the announcers were fine, they were saying lots of good things about the wings. I just think the versus/NBC announcers are always a little bias towards whoevers winning.
