1 gold medal since the 60's is dominant??? anyway i dont think thats the reason we dont like the canadian team, its the douchebags you have on the roster: Getzlaf, perry, pronger, niedermayer etc.. plus theres the fact that theres no red wings on the roster

while i think the devils are the clear winner in this trade(short term anyway) i think you guys are seriously underrating bergfors, guys a rookie and has 27 points while playing only minimal miutes a night. Also oduya is having a bad year but he's still a solid Dman with good potential.

i just want to go on record as saying that i would LOVE to have kovalchuk on this team, even if it is just a rental. I say do whatever it takes as long as it doesnt involve Z, dats, or lidstrom.

theres no doubt they have a solid core, but when you look at the cost of that core, you're left with VERY little for the rest of the lineup. Kane- 6 mil Toews- 6 mil Hossa- 5 mil Keith- 5 mil Campbell-7 mil huet- 5 mil thats 36 Million dollars invested in ONE line and a goalie, that leaves 20 mil for the rest. I still think they'll be a solid team for years but this is the year that they are a real powerhouse.

all of those players at some point in their careers have done something that warrants a salary of 3M. at this point in his career val has a career high of 40 points.
