yep, dats is starting to be very noticeably absent, of course this is just the second loss we've suffered w/out him in the lineup. so it might just seem that way...though i would love to have him back for game 4

yea but thats an advantage that the wings were SUPPOSED to have by having the higher seed. the whole short rest and back-to-back games is kind of evening out an advantage that we were supposed to have from the start. but im not gonna sit here and complain about it anymore, it is what it is and i know the wings will be ready

wow Barry Melrose has been right on so far this year with his picks. the scary thing is hes only got 2 wrong so far, he picked the flyers over the pens, and then the caps over the pens. Now he's got the wings beating the pens in the finals, could he be wrong three times? EDIT: on second thought i think he did the same thing last year except he picked against the wings 2-3 times onlly for them to win...i think hes workin with some kind of reverse psychology voodoo stuff

how hell did you manage to get both of them? I had crosby on my team for a while but i couldnt stand rooting for him, so I traded him for Parise and Mike Green, wound up winning the league...so thanks crozby for that i guess.

yea i really dont get how the media doesnt understand why the wings have a fairly high average age. I see it as a good thing reall, not only experience-wise but it speaks to the way the wings bring up their prospects. They let them grow in GR and wait until they're completely ready to take it to the next level, unlike these other young teams who have a bunch of 20-yr old kids playing for them who are in no way ready to play in the NHL.

on another note, i think this is the first time in any sport where a team's schedule hasnt changed at all despite closing out a series. What i mean is that if the wings had lost last night they wouldve played game 6 on Sat. usually when you close a series out early you typically can expect a few more days of rest before the start of the series. Not this year for the wings which to me is just bizarre and ive never heard of something like this except maybe in baseball. and what other league would allow back to back games in the finals just because the TV network wanted them to? its a joke really

fedorov was a 35+ goal scorer in the regular season, not really much of a comparison except in terms of stepping it up in playoffs, which really everybody does.
