I don't think either one would blame it on the chemistry of their linemates, they'd just say they're not playing up to their potential. And they'd be right. I wear a Z jersey and he hasn't been making me very proud to do so, but I know he'll remind me why he's the friggin' s*** pretty soon here. He used to not have to be scoring goals for me to be pleased with his level of play, but something has been up with Z lately, he needs to get it turned around now. The last thing we need is that line reunited.

It's unfortunate but it happens. He'll get through it, I'd just rather not ride the high's and low's of a rookie, emotionally, respectively to how they're playing, when I think in the end he'll be a major asset to the Wings.

I have faith that E will refocus and give us strong defensive depth on Friday. Heck, when he was Lidstrom's linemate last year in the playoffs while Raf was injured, they looked like a mirror image. That can't be by accident, this guy is gonna be something here in Hockeytown. I only wish we could just afford to keep him in the lineup while he works out the kinks, so he can get past this sophomore slump. That's why he need to be played, he's got potential but he'll never get through this rough patch if he's not in the lineup.

Saw this on the Final Score after the Wings game... I felt really bad for Vokoun, and I could feel a little bit of what Ballard was feeling, though he deserved however low his heart felt after doing something stupid like that. I hope Vokoun is ok, and I hope him and Ballard can be like cool teammates still after something like that.

The next retired # is gonna be 5, I think. You have to remember that the Detroit is home to countless phenominal players, and the rafters would be filled already if they retired 'em all.

You have to take into consideration that if Hossa takes a multi-year deal it will probably be for less each year than for the one year he just finished.

The obvious choice is Ozzie. He shows up for the big games and the one coming up on Friday is the biggest game of the season. Z will continue to bear down on Crosby and develop some oppurtunities that hopefully don't hit posts like that one that killed me today. Hossa is gonna show up. EDIT: Had the day wrong.

I thought we deserved some powerplays way earlier than we got them. There were some blatant and not-too-subtle interferences and at one point an obvious trip on Cleary. I was screaming.

Other than Hossa's waved goal in Anaheim, there was a goal against Phoenix in the reg season to force a scoreless overtime and we won in the SO.

Ward couldn't carry them any further.

I love Datsyuk. I think it's funny how he was occassionaly (was it more than occassionaly?) called out as a 'no show.' There's a 'no show' every year, as in there's a guy that's having trouble scoring goals... Thankfully when it's Datsyuk not scoring, he's still kicking ass, but you can say that about a lot of Wings forwards. They of course pride themselves on two-way play, even if it's not on the level of Datsyuk.

I hate when people call the series. Especially if it's called by a fan of one of the teams involved. People said Wings after being up 2 - 0, then they say Pens after coming back in a dominant fassion at home. Well, it's always the next game that swings things, you don't know how many 'turning points' there's gonna be until a team wins 4 games.

f***in' hell dude, can you wait until we win 4 games.
