geez Cunneyworth has had like 2 games to coach so far? I understand the whole French thing, but in all seriousness how would they feel if he leads them deep into the playoffs and makes them into serious cup contenders? I saw on NHL on the Fly tonight when they had Bob McKenzie on and he said that this kind of situation is slightly similar to when Marc Crawford was hired to coach the Nordiques years ago and he said that Crawford went to French lessons for several hours a day for like 3-4 months before the season started. Hope they really give the guy a chance to coach and see what he can do. I'd rather have a coach that wins hockey games over a coach that can speak another language any day of the week and twice on sunday.

I might be wrong, but I think this situation is similar to the whole Nabokov thing from last year...Miettinen was rostered in the KHL prior to this and I think that since Tampa tried to sign him every other team had a chance to claim him prior to that. I could be wrong as I said, but I know they talked about this briefly the other night during the game between Tampa and New Jersey.

I'm confident the Wings can still win, but this seems to be another one of "THOSE" games where the Wings should be up by 5-6 goals yet are tied going to the third. How many times the last couple years did it seem they would do this and then lose in a shootout?

He won't, he's had a chance after 2 straight playoff exits against the same team that's kicking there ass tonight and still has not made any significant changes.

At some point someone needs to say something to the people in charge of this team because its becoming way to obvious what is severely lacking.

Z has been nowhere near where he was a few years ago and it has become more and more noticeable each game. The 2nd goal was just a classic example of what has been the case with him, can't get a shot off because he is too SLOW and right back at them a goal for SJ.

kinda hoping they actually miss the playoffs for a change...might do the organization some good in the long run that getting by with this level of effort and play will not win you anything

I went to high school with Sidney Crosby, Jack Johnson, Zach Parise, Matt Smaby and Drew Stafford. I played on teams with everyone, but Parise because he was a few years ahead of me at the time. All great guys and great teammates when it came to anything both on and off the ice.
