and of course a "wonderful" start -
Yup...home opener for the Hawks in the 07-08 season...Sopel caught him with a knee coming through center (I was there) and then the first time they met last season again in Chicago (Oct 25 I think was the date) and now again last night...
-
1) This really sucks because Franzen has become one of our better players 2) 3 knee injuries 3 seasons in a row, each one against Chicago...bad luck? Chicago taking liberties?
-
I had the chance to attend a usa hockey officials weekend camp earlier in the summer and I met a guy who has been a linesman in the NHL for a while and he said Walkom is apparently trying to get back into officiating, but doesn't know if it will work
-
this doesnt totally surprise me...If Michigan or MSU were involved in it then I could maybe see keeping the old one, but with college hockey not knowing who is gonna be there kinda makes them have to be ready to prepare for the worst depending on who goes. I mean if you get UM, MSU, Boston U and Minnesota then that would be 4 prime fan bases in attendance, but if you get some unexpected teams there then the fan bases might not show up in full force depending on the distance to Detroit.

Detroit Free Press: Chelios expected to sign with Chicago Wolves

oh good something to look forward to when I am home on breaks and able to go see the Wolves 4-5 times! -
as long as he knocks byfuglien out after he tries to get tough when the refs get near then I am all for it!
-
I had the same issues after the first night, but then last night after sending emails to NHL customer service I clicked on the vancouver - columbus game and it worked just fine. I am assuming whatever problem it was is now fixed.
-
Yeah and the Islanders are just the team that would complete that trade!

4-2 Wings! Franzen, Williams, Datsyuk, Lidstrom Backes, Kariya -
while watching him dominate games when he was playing for London was truly awesome, he is finally having to play against competition that is just better. I'm not saying he is a bad player, but a lot of times when he was dominating games it was against teams that were not all that great and were way to vulnerable to "watching" him as opposed to just playing the game. I hope he does find a way to help the Islanders, but as others have said if he doesnt then its gonna be a very short stay in the NHL for him
-
my roommate is a bandwagon fan of the Hawks and seeing this definately made my day...The first goal for ZSC was a very nice goal I might add

I like the new look, but as long as he keeps the puck out of the net I don't care what he wears
-
Tough call because Youngblood did have some pretty slick moves with the puck and did score some big goals...Bombay was pretty good himself with the puck so who knows haha
-
We did score like 4 from atleast 60 ft during the 97 finals on hextall and snow...I guess they can add up to the same stuff haha
-
We lost 88 goals and get back 76 goals - Good Job Kenny!
