Good to see you too!

Since, there is a sharks topic in here. I've talked to a few people in here. And I'll tell you what went on as a Sharks fan perspective and who went to the game. It was a sold out game( It felt like the early 2000's tbh and the arena felt like the most intimidating arena again). This game was a emotional game for the fans. All the Hardcore fans came back to this game. Most of the hardcore shark fans have been boycotting the Sharks home games. It all started with the Reverse sweep from the Los Angeles Kings ( I was at that game 7 also). Obviously none of the fans were happy including me. After that year, 50-75% of the season tickets dropped out. ( Including me). They raised prices at the beginning of last year. Sharks didn't make the playoffs. After that year, they still raised prices. Sharks fans were getting pissed at ownership of why they would need to raise prices when they sucked last year. Only 12 out of the 40 some games were sold out this year. You already know the final score. You guys probably know the heartbreak the Sharks have had over the years in the western conference. You should know since you were one of the teams that caused us to be heartbroken especially when Marleau couldn't clear the zone in game 4 with about a minute left and Lang scored from the left face off circle and beat Nabokov 9-hole and then Schenider won it in double overtime. ( Yes, I still remember every key moment in every playoff loss). But when Couture scored that empty netter, you look around you see people hugging. You see people wiping their faces because they were crying. I was sitting next to this old couple, they have been season ticket holders for 25 years. They said to me earlier in the game" I just want to live long enough to see the Sharks make it to the Stanley Cup Final". As the buzzer sounded, I just gave them a group hug and said" We did it! We're finally going to the Stanley Cup Final after all these heartbreaks". After the game and the ceremony, I just sat in my seat not moving from my seat. Remembering all the Heart breaks. Remembering all the former players that helped this organization and seeing them try their hardest to us in this position like Nolan, Damphousse, Cheechoo, Nabokov, S. Thornton, Sundstrom, Mccauley, Murray, the list can go on. And I just sat in my seat and started crying. The Shark fanbase has gone through so much. It's great to see the Fanbase and the organization rewarded. And not to mention, Marleau and Thornton deserve this more than anyone on the Sharks team.

I didn't know that at all! I should have checked a while ago. Do you know why they have those rules? I agree on the baggage check. Just doesn't make sense. I was just over the college town kinda. I was in Greektown ( lots of good places to eat there, there is this pizza place that is really good and lots of good bars in midtown also) There is this greekplace that is really good also. And Kony's, I guess thats one of Detroit's famous food? Correct me if I'm wrong Detroit residents. And you're welcome for beating the Panthers. Sorry, we couldn't beat them in regulation;)

Hello Everyone, A few weeks ago, I posted a new topic about going to the Joe and asking you what seats were the best seats to go for. And a few of you answered me which was really appreciated. And you were right, there is no bad seat at the Joe. So, thank you for the people that answered my questions. I did have a great time at the game. I mean it was a 6-5 Redwings game. The only thing that was missing in the game was a fight! I really liked the arena and how it seems like the crowd is on top of the players, you don't get that in many arenas for any professional sports game. It was just a bummer that my friend and his girlfriend couldn't come because she couldn't come in because her purse was too big. I've never seen or heard that was a NHL rule of coming into games? The purse wasn't that big either. But here are some of my pictures from pre game:) Enjoy. Thank you again and good luck the rest of the way!
-
She didn't. I didn't know there were other spots. I honestly have no heard of that rule before in a NHL Arena. So, I was surprised when my friend texted me that. Thanks! I love taking pictures for pre game. I couldn't take my long lens so I took my short lens. I always risk about trying to bring by big lens in and the person tried to say you have to take it back to your house. I'm like uh no, nice try. haha. It was super fun! Just never heard that rule before.

Hey guys, It's been a while. I've been on this forum for a while now. But don't post at all. But, my question where is the best place to sit at Red Wing games? I'm going to the February 14th game. Give me your suggestions before your Red Wings beat my Sharks.
-
Thank you everyone for all your tips on where to sit at the Joe. It has really helped! Probably the best environment that I've been to is in Vancouver. Can't beat the environment in Canada. I did go to a Playoff game in Anaheim. That was probably the worst atmosphere that I've been too. That playoff game felt like a Regular season game. But, it was nice to get 30 dollar playoff tickets also.
-
I know some Canuck fans said that Vancouver changed it that if you don't have lower bowl tickets, you can't go to warm ups. But thanks for everyone's tips and where to sit! Really appreciated!
-
That will never happen. haha. Always been a Sharks fan, always will be. It's too bad, the Sharks and Wings aren't rivals anymore since you guys moved to the East. Always loved the games against you guys. It was a good game last night. Good luck the rest of the way. Last night was the first time, I really paid attention to Larkin. Lucky to watch him everyday.

Thank you very much for your tips and information. I'm really excited to go. It's one of my bucket lists to go visit one of the Original Six teams arenas, no matter the team. And I wanted to do this before the Wings move in that new arena.
-
Awesome! Thanks! And heard a long time ago, if you don't have a ticket in lowerbowl, you can't go to warm ups? Is that true? And what long of a camera lens can you bring?
-
Thanks for your guys input. I do know the Sharks dive, every team does. Couture does dive a lot. I just over heard that one Redwing fan said the Sharks are the dirtiest team in the league. And i just wanted to see what other fans thought about that!
-
I don't know if you guys remember me at all? I was here a while ago.I don't know if any of you are still on here when I was on here. I'm also not here to talk smack. I was on twitter and overheard some things and wanted to get your guys unbiased opinions on the Sharks. Do you think they are the dirtiest team in the league? I do miss the rivalry the Sharks and Redwings had over the years. It's not the same without you guys in the Western Conference. Hope you guys get healthy. You guys still bring the best out of the Sharks.
-
Well, hello again. We meet again. Should be a good series.
-
Hey guys, haven't talked on here recently. It was a good game, I agree with this guys assessment. You guys owned the Sharks, in the time of posession and overall game. Seto is on fire, Niemi is on fire and Thornton played unbelievable in today's game IMO
-
I think it was komisarek or Beauch. If Komi didn't hand it to Ron Wilson right away, the league wouldnt' have done anything about it. But since it was caught on Tv, the league had to do it. Stupid though. Congrats to Ron Wilson though.

Sharks were awesome from the middle of the second to the end of the game. The wings were dominating the Sharks from the first to the middle of the Second. I mean DOMINATING. The wings looked like men and the sharks looked like little toddlers trying to learn how to play hockey. It was a good game though from my stand point of view, the Sharks have only had 3 good games. And this was one of them. And the Sharks resurgence in the game, you can thank the coaching staff of the Sharks for that. http://blogs.mercurynews.com/sharks/2010/12/06/4464/

I thought it was a great crowd atmosphere. More hostile than Cleveland thats for sure. They threw Heatley jerseys onto the ice and one of the jerseys hit heatley on the bench. What I didn't like about how hostile it was, that after the game, Heatley had to run into the lockerroom because people were throwing lemons at heatley's head and when the Shark came into the dressing room, they were chucking beer at the Sharks team in general.
-
I don't know if that was a joke or not, but you can have him. All he does is shoot into guys shin pads. Yawney doesn't help, maybe he needs a change of scenery.
-
And good game Red wings. I saw the first and second periods. I don't like the Sharks play this year, if Marleau plays like that the rest of the season. The Sharks won't make the playoffs. Good win though. The Sharks D is Ahl Status. And DW needs to improve, or he needs to get out of the door.
-
Good to hear from you too. I'm trying to watch the game, but I doubt it since I have accounting homework, and finals are coming up. And I won't be surprised to see the redwings blowing the Sharks out of the water. THe Sharks have AHL defense, literally. Datysuk, Franzen and Zetterberg should school us in every fashion.
-
Nice for the Sharks to face the wings this year. And glad to be back on here. Sharks on the other hand has been way inconsistent. Its either Sharks get blown out, or the Sharks blow out the other team or the Sharks have a 2+ goal lead in the third and give up 2-3 goals in a few minutes. Injury list for the Sharks: Demers, Wallin, Huskins, Seto. The rookies have been good this year for us. Should be a good game, I hope. I won't be watching; but I hope for fans sakes; it will be a good one to watch.
-
Good for them. Their Defense is just amazing, thats probably why. If their defense can hold up, they'll be in the playoffs.

Hjalmarsson Cheap Shot on Jason Pominville
sharkfan20 replied to Octopus's Garden's topic in General
It was a dirty play, with a cheapshot involved. It was only a two game suspension? are you kidding me. How did the Wiz and Hjalmarsson get the same suspension for two games? He should have at least gotten 5 games. Interesting game coming up between the hawks and the sabres coming up on sat. -
Greiss basically just asked to be traded. and to the poster about wait your ******* turn. It was Osgood and Conklin. Not Howard. It was greiss's turn after Nabokov, Nabokov Left. This was greiss chance. He waited for 3 years for this chance, and DW basically signed two goalies. DW made it clear in a few years, its Alex Stalock's team. Alex Stalock is our goalie in the minors, that is probably our best goalie prospect. And DW I don't think well trade Nitty. He usually doesn't usually do a sign and trade, if he does trade Nitty. I'll be surprised. I wouldn't be suprised if Greiss is traded before training camp. Or package him with Clowe for a top four d man at the deadline.
