I keep seeing people rag on Zetterberg and I'm not sure why. I agree - his skating seems to be in good form. -

Just to add: Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive 3m3 minutes ago Defense looks like: Smith-Marchenko Lashoff-Sproul Paetsch-Jensen Russo is skating, too Weird that Ouellet isn't it. Maybe he's injured? Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive 3m3 minutes ago Howard is starting with McCollum backing up. Edit: Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive 4m4 minutes ago Power play units: Franzen-Sheahan-Larkin Smith-Pulkkinen Bertuzzi-Athanasiou-Mantha Miele-Sproul Also, I asked Ansar about Ouellet's status, and he said he'll find out shortly. Hope it's nothing serious. -

That's the most likely scenario, IMO. Frk basically filled in for him last night, since he filled in for Franzen the other day. I'm thinking tonight's we'll see the lines that were originally supposed to play on Tuesday: Franzen-Sheahan-Glendening Miele-Larkin-Pulkkinen Miller-Andersson-Ferraro Bertuzzi-Athanasiou-Mantha Svech will probably play versus Boston on Saturday. I wonder if/when they're going to make more cuts, though. Maybe after that game? Edit: The Wheel Deal @Bill_Roose 12m12 minutes ago #RedWings Johan Franzen is expected to play tonight vs. @penguins. It's his first game since he suffered a concussion Jan. 6 at Edmonton. -

Kindl did a nice job getting the puck up to Tatar on that play, too. -

Eh, with Mike Liambas playing, I would have actually liked to see Rechlicz get into the lineup. Don't trust Liambas - plenty of questionable hurts during his career. -

I think Roose made the mistake, or had an older lineup sheet. Either way, Quincey's in tonight - not Smith. My guess is that the lineup sheet that Roose had was from earlier in camp when Smith-Kindl were paired. HSJ tweeted this out earlier: https://twitter.com/HeleneStJames/status/646699630814724096 -

Wonder who they use on the power play. Abdelkader, Zetterberg, Nyquist, Tatar, Richards, Jurco, Kronwall and Green are obvious. Thinking Kindl gets time on the second unit. I'm wondering if they'll opt to use DeKeyser, or give someone like Nosek or Callahan a shot. -

I get the same vibe, but it's an upgrade over the shootout, IMO. It's not "real" hockey, but it's closer. I think it's progress. Also, I'm still sitting here thinking about how impressed I was by Jensen. I really hope he can put together a couple solid games. -

Seriously. He's been deep in the offensive zone probably two or three times now, and he managed to get back each time. Looks NHL-ready to me. Also, full props to Smith drawing that call. Kept his feet moving there. -

Hockey is here. My goodness. Someone get me a pumpkin spice latte and a pair of UGGS, because I can't even right now. -
Tell that to Worrell.

The same way he handed being pulled over by the police in Pompano Beach in 2004.

If Larkin forces his way to the team , what will we look like?
Jesusberg replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
This. The only way I can see Larkin coming up is if another center gets hurt. Detroit has a ton of options down the middle - Datsyuk, Richards, Sheahan, Glendening are the likely centermen, but they can turn to Zetterberg and Helm as well. They won't call him up unless he's playing in the group of top-nine players. -
Tatar (32), Nyquist (28), Datsyuk (24), Zetterberg (22 - hasn't done it in a few season, but I think he's due) & Franzen (20 - based on his health, obviously). I'm kind of torn on Abdelkader, but I think he'll be one or two shy of 20 goals.

Tatar and Richards showing some chemistry today. Nice to see Pulkkinen get one (happened during 3-on-3) The Wheel Deal @Bill_Roose 11m11 minutes ago That's a final from the #RedWings Day 3 scrimmage in Traverse City. Team Delvecchio 2 (Tatar, Richards), Team Howe 1 (Pulkkinen). Edit: Dana Wakiji @Dwakiji 2m2 minutes ago #RedWings Blashill said Brendan Smith will get a chance on the PP in the preseason.

Also, I realize the first quote doesn't offer much context. Ho-Sang insists he was misquoted, but the situation first came up in a Steve Simmons piece (so, yes... he could have been misquoted for sure). Either way, here's the Ho-Sang quote:
-
Just numerous events. He seem to just be a s*** disturber. Doesn't take direction well - wants to do what he wants to do, etc. From a Windsor Star article: http://blogs.windsorstar.com/sports/for-nov-15-josh-ho-sang-feature But really, I think this is what it boils down to:
-
He just seems to stir the pot wherever he goes. While in Windsor, he hinted that Warren Rychel made some race-related remarks, then kind of backpedaled afterward. Ho-Sang's also called out Hockey Canada after not making their U20 squad.
