Honestly, I can't imagine any scenario where this happens. Kindl's going to be moved, that much is certain. I seriously doubt the team moves Ericsson, and I imagine they're going to let Quincey finish up his contact, unless they're in a poor situation at next year's trade deadline. I can see the team starting the season after with something similar to this, but I don't see them breaking up the D-corps that much during next season. I think one of those four prospects is going to be left out of that group, with Ericsson maintaining his spot.

Seriously, it makes you wonder. Tampa just unloaded 35 year-old, makin' 3.8 million per year, Eric freakin' Brewer for a 3rd round pick. I understand there's more term on Kindl's deal, and TB retained some salary, but still... come on. Can't get a 5th or 6th for Kindl?
-
With TB shipping off Brewer for a 3rd (they retained 26% of his cap hit, but still), it gives me some hope that Detroit will find a suitor for Kindl. Regardless of how he looks, the mistakes he makes, etc. it's pretty clear to me that he and Babs are at odds. The only way he's going to dig himself out of Babcock's doghouse is by changing who he is as a defender... which I don't see happening.

gdt 11/28 GDT - Red Wings @ Devils - 7:00 PM EST

IF every thing goes well... big if there, I would love to see something along these lines in the near future: Z-Datsyuk-Abdelkader Tatar-Weiss-Nyquist Mule-Sheahan-Jurco Miller-Helm-Glendening I think the 1st and 4th would be very, very solid lines. The tricky part comes with the 2nd a 3rd lines. You could swap Mule and Tatar, but I really think Weiss and Tatar could/will click. I know Tatar's already got some chemistry with Sheahan - perhaps it's just a gut feeling, but I think those two would do well together. For some reason, Mule on Weiss wing just feels like it would kind of lag? I guess? -
I've been tinkering around with BL: The Pre-Sequel. Not sure how I feel about it. I LOVED BL2, but this one seems a little off for some reason. I've been trying to play NHL 15, but for some reason the game is consistently a month behind (It's showing Oct. 29th vs. the Caps as today), therefore I don't get the updates. I have no idea on how to fix it - thought it might be an internal clock issues with my 360, but I tried that already. I'm just thoroughly unimpressed with the last two years of NHL *sigh*

Ok, seriously. How often do they play the theme from Friends at the Joe? I feel like it's a sign. Uberweiss. -

Number 90 with another point. He may not be German, but I shall call him Uberweiss. -

I KNEW he'd be on a line with Helm... obviously. They're in the business of winning, and Weiss has to earn his keep, so give him Helm. *sigh* Just waiting for the, "man, Weiss was invisible tonight, let's buy him out" comments. I hope this is just Babs' idea of breaking him in slow, and he winds up with some special teams time and legitimate wingers in the next few games. -
Do we need a trade to get our offence going ?
Jesusberg replied to nyqvististhefuture's topic in General
No on Burish. What we have at the moment is better, IMO. As far as Perron and Petry go, we'd have to clear more than Helm and Andersson. I was just poking fun at Edmonton's love of fringe centremen. -

Edmonton loves putting bottom 6 centermen in their top 6. We'll give them Helm and call it a day -
A lot of the reasoning behind the AHL scheduling is due to schooling for the players, and sharing arenas. The AHL is low priority compared to the major pro sports teams they share arenas with, so between that and many of the players having class during the week, you see a lot of weekend-heavy scheduling. I'm sure there are other reasons, but those two come to mind for me.

This. If we're going to discredit the goal he scored 19 seconds in, we're going to have to discredit the sloppy play, too. Neither is a true indicator of how he's going to perform when he's up to full speed (should that ever happen). I'd like to see how he looks through 5-10 games, not just one.
-
I feel like that Kindl line is something that someone at the Edmonton Journal thought up, and figured was hilarious. You put something in quotation marks, you can deflect any blame if it doesn't go over well. Don't get me wrong, he's spot on...

Maybe it's because of The Office video I posted earlier, but I can't help but read this in Dwight Schrute's voice

They've gone with the 1-3-1 all year on the PP, and it doesn't seem like they're going to change that. They're using Datsyuk, Z, Mule and Abs on one unit, Tatar, Sheahan, Jurco and Helm on the other. Unless they change up that 2nd unit, they're only using two defenders on the PP, total.
-
It's not an exact answer, but Michael Scott seems to know.
-
What!? You can't take it away from me. Lashoff is a +2. Lash > Kronwall > Quincey
-
It's like that whole Kill, Marry, Bang game... each option can only be used once. It's supposed to be a tough decision, but I don't think it works in this case
-
He's played the majority of his time with Helm, Jurco and Nestrasil, and played just under 9 minutes a game...
-
Ok, but let's play a game. Play, Bench, Waive for Cally, Cleary and Nestrail. GO! No, he has. Even without his two points, I think he's done more in terms of puck protection and keeping it in the offensive zone than some of the others.
-
Agreed. I think he's an automatic upgrade over Andersson/Cleary on the 4th line, and one over Helm as the net presence on the 2nd PP unit. With him there, they could let Helm get back to working the PK. Throw out Glendening-Miller and Helm-Abs as our two units.
-
It's bizarre. The guy puts up three points in two games - looks like he's turning a corner. Has a rough outing in Tampa, an even worse one in Chicago. He must have said something stupid. I wouldn't hold my breath hoping for Smith on the PP, either. Seems to me that Babs is looking for someone who can hold the blueline and control the play. In that regard, I think DK is better than Smith. Smith has better offensive instincts, but DK has better poise with the puck. As much as I'd love to see him quarterback the 2nd PP, I have to admit, I have visions of him losing the puck and the PK'ers going on breakaways.

And John Daly.

I think you're right. I was thinking about the 30 days of not having to go through waivers after being sent down, and thought it applied to call-ups as well. My mistake.

I never had a joint bank account, but my mother knew my pin number and if she was out running errands, would use my card if I had bills to pay and she happened to be going to the bank. Similarly, if I went out the buy groceries so she didn't have to do it, I would have access to her card and bank account. We didn't steal from each other, because we're family and not s***ty people. I understand the concept of having access to a family member's money, but I don't understand the concept of using your family's money without their permission.
