Too entertaining and unpredictable

The original interview is in Swedish here: http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/hockey/internationellt/nhl/article8249897.ab A Swedish speaking member of HFboards is the one who offered the translation here: http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=852336 I'm guessing the guy wouldn't throw it too far out of context, but you can't be 100%. Maybe someone who speaks Swedish here can offer a more clear picture, as some people on the boards seemed to suggest that the whole "Osgood is washed up" thing wasn't as harsh as it was translated. More along the lines of "Osgood is getting up there in age". Either way, the guy comes off like he has a sense of entitlement, which could irk some people.

I thought the same, but he's from Grand Rapids. So "here" refers to GR. I'm pretty sure he said he didn't want to play in the AHL anymore, and would only play if he got a job out of camp with the Wings. EDIT: In an interview with Aftonbladet he said something along the lines of: "I'm never going back to the AHL again. But I swept the carpet with Jimmy Howard during my first season over there and Chris Osgood is washed up so I will take the chance if they are willing to let me show what I can do in the NHL." So that's where the "attitude" issues come from.

Helene St. James says it's a two-way deal... so he'll still be making AHL money, potentially. http://www.freep.com/article/20110711/SPORTS05/110711035/Wings-re-sign-MacDonald-Osgood-may-next?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

Right after voting on this topic I saw this on Twitter: "The Red Wings have agreed to terms with goaltender Joey MacDonald on a two-year deal." Not sure if this means he's the back-up, or if it's just an AHL deal.

This is why Commodore was the best signing ever...
Jesusberg replied to Majsheppard's topic in General
The guy's most likely trying to get attention and page hits. Everyone been pro-Commodore 64, and now he gets attention by saying he shouldn't do it. Not even worth paying attention to. -

Equipment Manager Paul Boyer says that if @commie22 wants to wear 64, it's all his. -per Red Wings twitter. Woo hoo! -
I just found it again too, ha ha. Good looking out.

It's up in the air still, in fact I'm fairly certain he said he wasn't even sure of how assignments would be handed out yet. I just can't find the quote from the article at the moment. I'll try to find it again.

I like the move considering the number of new faces jumping into the line-up. It's good to have an AHL vet to push the younger guys.

WMU head coach finalist for Wings' assistant coaching spot
Jesusberg replied to CenterIce's topic in General
Well, Dreger said it would be "surprising" and this is certainly out of left field... -
Well of course we might be surprised, Dreger... Stop messing with our heads and give us a hint!

This offseason continues to baffle me...

Wow. I go out for the night and don't get to check out signings and this happens? Obviously an overpayment, but I'm going to try not to get too bent out of shape. Maybe he'll be paired with Lidstrom and used in more situations? I can't see Kenny signing him for this if he's only going to be #5 on the depth chart? Am I off base here?

Kopecky did

Not that I think we will, but when has Ken ever been like, "Yeah, we're going for that guy. Number one target, bro". If anything, if I think he did have something in the works he'd keep it as tight to the chest as possible. That's generally always been his style.

Who does he think he is? Jaromir? #hollandwatch

Per Jon Rimer's Twitter: Detroit Red Wings News: No deal with Wings and Patrick Eaves, & looks like he'll be testing the open market tomorrow. Hope it's not true and he signs a late deal... for the right cap hit of course. I like the guy.

The more all of this Wisniewski/Ehrhoff drama unwinds, the less opposed I am to the idea of Babchuk/White/Greene. They've shown themselves capable of putting up some respectable numbers, and will demand a decent chunk less because they're not the marquee names. And depending on what happens with Barker, that could be a decent option too. All of those seem to be more up Holland's alley, and much more likely to happen. These guys have the potential to come in, and look like a huge steal after they put up 35-40 points.

Sproul might not seem like an attractive pick, but I think he's going to be decent.

Didn't see this discussed yet so... http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/hockey/comments/what_do_you_think_detroit_fans/ Kukla's Korner reported a Tweet by a Windsor Star writer named Bob Duff. He claimed that two sources have been saying that the Thrashers were asking: Hudler, Ericsson/Kindl & High Draft Pick for Bogosian In my opinion I would do it for Hudler, Kindl & 2nd, maybe even a 1st. Bogosian hasn't worked out in Atlanta, but I think he's surely got high potential. He could definitely be a #1-2 guy when it's all said and done. The price is steep, but I think we're safe with forward depth with guys like Mursak, Tatar or Filppula filling in. I don't hate Hudler at all, but I'm really high on Bogosian. What do you guys think?

I'm almost positive they did say the three it was down to: MacTavish, Muller and MacLean.
-
Oh... I'd say about tree fiddy.

1.2 million according to NHL 11... make it happen Kenny.

I don't even know what to say. I just want to watch hockey. I don't know what this is...
