Just read this and completely agree with it. While the defense let down the goaltenders in the past two games, Jimmy made some really great saves Tuesday night, while Osgood let in some really s***ty goals last night. A large part of why people are bashing Ozzie is because he opened his big mouth to the media about not playing, and then stunk it up when he got a shot. Like the article said, he's let in 3+ goals in 7 of 9 games. That's just not good enough. -

I fully admit the team is running around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, but wtf Osgood. First goal he was way out of position. Second goal he was down way too early. ...I don't even know what to say at this point, lol.

I'm actually all for throwing in Osgood after last night. Howard has played very well, especially for a rookie goaltender, but this team needs something to shake it up. Perhaps putting Osgood between the pipes again will spark the team somehow. Again, not a knock on Howard at all, but the Red Wings are looking stale right now.

Also, I wonder what a healthy Lilja means for next season, especially with Kindl no longer being waiver eligible. Maybe rotating time between Lilja, Ericsson and Kindl? Unless Lidstrom retires, I don't know what else they might do. P.S.: THE PAIN TRAIN COMETH.

I was just going to post this. I think Lilja's stay-at-home style is just what Ericsson needs to become more comfortable with his game.

To be fair this is exactly what a lot of Wings fans do on here. Every team has fans that throw out crazy suggestions, and no one wants to part with talent when it comes to trades.

Ok... honestly... I don't know how anyone knows how Babcock feels. In my opinion neither Leino or May has done well in their role, at least not on a consistent basis. In terms of what the team needs, I guess that Leino would be more efficient as he is a) younger, b) more offensively driven and c) quicker (barely but still). But seriously, no one knows what Babcock wants but Mike Babcock... Leino has been s***. May has been s***. So let's pick the fresher pile to stick around.
