I imagine that time will be divided between Maltby/Leino on the 4th line... I guess I was just trying to make the point that Miller should be a shoe-in to stay, and Maltby won't be waived, leaving Leino and May as the options to be moved. I definitely think May will be the guy to move. As far as Laraque goes... I'm not too sure, as I haven't watched much of him this season. If he could be a wrecking ball on the 4th line I would be all for it, but being deemed a "distraction" by Gainey makes me wonder what goes on behind the scenes as well.

Miller. Abdelkader will get sent down, and then it's pretty much between May and Leino in regards to who will be put on waivers. They're not going to toss Maltby away, and unless they get rid of Lebda or Meech one of the two is going to have to go. So far Miller has shown far more worth... defensively and surprisingly offensively as well.

For 2 million or less I'm beyond sold. He adds a solid dimension to the top two lines that isn't going to cost very much.

I was referring to the idea that if the Red Wings have an enforcer, I'd want him to be an effective one. And an enforcer going after a guy who's a pest seems just as viable to me as going after a guy who has just thrown a clean hit (which is happening league wide). I don't say that I agree with either, but to let Ott run his game untouched was just stupid, IMO. In terms of the personal insults, I'm guessing someone didn't love you enough as a child... since you seem to have a need to win arguments over the internet by calling people idiots. It just pisses me off that he yaps and yaps to the press and then doesn't turn in a great performance. Obviously it's on a much larger scale, but when Messier guaranteed his team would win, he backed it up with great play. What do people want? For Osgood to be given the starting role back and then drive the team into the ground? I'm all for liking our players, but a team isn't about one person. Doing what's best for the team is most important, in my opinion.

Honestly, he's kind of sounding like a spoiled *****. He doesn't sound very confident either. Who cares who you're going up against? Just try to play a sound game and do the best you can. Maybe Babcock is trying to protect Howard a little here, but Osgood should realize that. Howard is a goaltender of the future and needs to be protected at times... this is what a back-up is for, and for all intents and purposes that's what Osgood has been this season.

Did you notice that Cleary was put on that line in place of May? I don't know what the reason was, but I've got a feeling that it was because he hasn't been effective in his role.

I've got Aaron Downey in mind. The second that Ott would have tried to fight Stuart, Downey would have jumped on the next shift and put him on notice. And that's more than May did. I don't know if/why you have a boner for May, but he's been pretty useless IMO.

I posted something like this in the GDT. All of Ott's bulls*** started from the OUTSET of the game. It's not like it was a tie game and then he started. People who are bitching about a 2, 5 and 10... not if it went down right. I'd take the May for Ott trade off any day. Pull his annoying ass off the ice for 5 minutes and it'd only help, especially since the 4th line wasn't seeing much ice anyway. All I can think of is the idea that Downey would have throttled him. May is so ******* focused on upping his fight count with Kris Barch, and taking offensive zone fights. His fights are pointless.

I really feel like all of these bad calls is going to alienate the Detroit Red Wings fan base. My finger is pointed directly at Gary Bettman.
