canada has good fans but hocky fans in sweden and especially finland are great. teemu selanne once said when he played for jokerit in helsinki, people would ask for his leftover chicken. plus they sing songs which is just great, its like a soccer game the atmosphere is beautiful. canada has more angry fans

ok someone said eavs could become a 20 goal scorer and i agreee, i mean honestly if we put eaves and helm with datsyuk i bet u it would be a pretty good line. datsyuk had success with boyd devereaux when he was younger and eaves and helm are both similar quick player. obviously bertuzzi is not brett hull, more like cam neely age 80

z needs other players as well, look at lecavalier in tampa bay, he has had a string of bad years because the rest of tampa bay is awful, same for st louis

zetterberg and datsyuk need to play together, its so obvious that holmstrom is just not good enough and bertuzzi just sucks, im sorry for the language but he is awful

i dont like shooutouts i dont think its fair to lose a team game on basically a crap shoot or w.e they call it, it should just end in a draw if they tie after 5 minutes, or at least they should keep playing

it is 100% bertuzzis fault. he is a selfish player and honestly hes just washed up, he thinks he can just snipe it like he was doing when he was a kid in juniors or something. im surprised babcock hasnt called him out, at least leino shows intelligence and ocassional brilliance, bertuzzi is just awful. and jason williams was a waste as well. we shouldve brought in some younger players instead of hoping for some old magic. holland has a weakness for older players- remember when he chose chelios over kyle quincey? obviously a bad move now and it may have cost us a cup, but i wont call him out because he did when us a cup in 02 and we were probably the oldest team ever. but i just think they were too old and theyr holding back younger players and they dont fit the team. i feel like datsyuk and zetterberg are carrying the team by themselves. and i have been impressed with howard as well so that is bonus points for holland

who do you guys think will play for usa, i am american so i like them but i know there are lots of canadians and other global fans around so please tell me what you think from a foreigners perspective here is my hopeful team Parise - Stastny - brown Malone - Kesler - Kane van reimsdyk - umberger - kessel pavelski - dubinsky - ryan erik johnson - goligoski carle - bogosian rafalski - wisnewski miller backup: conklin i think its a great team i was actually surprised we had this much talent when i looked at our selection of players, i mean i thought kesler was canadian and he is one of the best defensive forwards in the league. the only ones i dont like are kessel and kane but they are talented and we will need the goals

the nhl is against detroit, they dont want us to catch toronto in cups before the end of the world, we only have 3 years until the end of the world and if we dont get 13 cups i will be so sad. btw nice video of filpulla training

iihf rules are much better, the bigger ice is more fun but its just not canadian. im not too worried i just feel bad for teams like switzerland and germany who have lots of players in european leagues and who are improving their hockey every year.

i love shanahan i remember the first year i went to wings games in 02 he was just having a great year, i am very proud to have seen him and i will definitely tell my grandchildren about him

btw regarding wheeler i think he was a one season wonder and the rest are old or i just dont like them very much, sorry i was sort of biased towards young players cause i think we need to get a new core instead of oldies like tkachuk (i like tkachuk but he is old)

yeah i am actually excited except for canada and russia every team is rebuilding. i would say we are just behind sweden on paper but we usually underperform and finland always overperforms i think we will at least get a bronze medal, we have a new generation of players and especially kesler, he is the future i think he will become a legendary player

conklin has a better mentality, he is used to being the 2nd guy and he is clutch when he needs to be good, thomas and dipietro will just be angry and who needs angry players, besides dipietro is weird and thomas is old, a lot of people think conklin is a nice guy

we can afford a new superstar easily when lidstrom retires which is probably when his current contract is up (end of the year). its good that we dont overpay mediocre players so maybe we can get two good players or one great one, i would like nicklas backstrom or even ryan kesler on the wings

i think he is an elite player. it takes confidence to go for those big open ice hits and he always times them well, that takes poise as well. also he has some dangles, i have seen make some great rushes to the net when a lane opens. and he always judges when to make those well, not like lebda where he always races up and takes a crappy wrist shot. also his slap shot is booming he just needs accuracy. i think he is better than rafalski and he is like konstantinov only a better attacker and maybe a lesser checker but still good

i think shanny federov lidstrom will all be retired and probably ozzy as well will all be retired, i know shanny didnt play as many games as federov or lidstrom or yzerman for us but those are 3 of the best players ever and i think shanny was a great player but just not elite, but that doesnt mean he doesnt deserve to be retired. for example ozzy wasnt elite ever but he was always good and he played with us for a while and even gave us a second chance after we ditched him and played great hockey in 08, without him we wouldnt have won the cup. so i think shanny deserves credit for helping bring glory back, and he is a great guy

i am young and my family doesnt really care as much as i do so i usually go with my friend whenever hsi family can bring me. hopefully i will go to some games later in the year though, im saving for tickets because i want to go really badly. i also buy little caesars all the time so i am still helping the owners

i think malkin does get rejected because hes russian, i mean honestly even when i play nhl 10 and i am doing a fantasy draft i try and pick canadians or americans or even some swedes, but i think hes a more talented player. for some reason crosby reminds me of jason spezza
