It's funny because all those players you mentioned were effective for the team prior to the lockout sans Drake and he was a different type of player. Jagr will not be the piece to bring a cup to Detroit.

Why does Kenny Holland keep signing over-the-hill geezers. We are becoming a nursing home rather than a hockey team. Say NO to Jagr and NO to any players over 35 (unless they are named Selanne or Lidstrom.

I have no idea why he was playing in the first place. He and Nick should have been given nights off, especially since he already was suffering from back spasms earlier in the year. Oh well, first round loss without Z for sure.

Forward: Mike Richards: brillant shut-down center, and excellent penalty killer. Defence: Doughty> one of my favourite young defenceman in the game. Goalie: Thomas> love his non-orthodox style. Reminds me a lot of Hasek. -

why does everyone criticize Salei's play? I think that he was shaky for the first few games of the season, but ever since then he has been solid as a 6'th dman. Not flashy but reliable. I feel safer with Salei as the 6'th compared to having Lilja.

I beg to differ, Kaberle is not better than Green defensively in my opinion. He makes enough defensive mistakes as well, and his offensive game is nowhere near Greens.

Even though I'm a Wings fan, I'm still going for the Sharks because I enjoy the talent and team they have set up there. I don't care about the fanbase, and I really didn't want San Jose or Philadelphia (hate their goonish players) winning the cup.

I'm really hating Flip's game this year. Sure he's good defensively, but 6 goals is terrible for the kind of contract he has. I would consider trading him in the off-season depending on what's coming back the other way.. -

brian lawton and his staff amaze me at how foolish they are. The lightning along with the Islanders have to be the most poorly run organizations in hockey. Prospal played well with them last year so this doesn't make any sense. It's like that whole organization has ADD or something.

Cant wait for the olympics! The Big red Russian machine will be unstoppable if they play like a team and buy into Bykov's system (which according to the last 2 years they have). OV, Semin, Pav, Geno and Kovy are going to be near impossible to stop

I wouldn't put drapes or pav in for next game.. Abs is playing really well and the team is responding underf adversity..I am the biggest Datsyuk fan but if hes not at least 80% healthy then he may be a liability and have players like Cooke and Orpik taking deliberate runs at his foot..Id keep both out for game 3, and only put them in for game 4 if they lose
