lol you need to under stand the difference between knowing how to hit and not knowing, it seems like all you know about is fisticuffs, and all you care to do is gush over how great enforcers are. Even if Redmond did say that he probably wasn't referring to Downey's hits because he never made an impact with them, saying downey is a good hitter is like saying Lebda is, just because Lebda has thrown like 3 really good hipchecks in his career doesn't make him a good hitter.

Show me a Downey hit reel already... o yeah that one hit on wellwood, Wellwood is the kind of guy who would be afraid of downey anyways, like I mentioned he could hit somebody, too abd it was wellwood. Nobody was afraid of being hit by Downey, in fact guys who knew his tendencies probably relished the sight of him coming towards them so they could lay him out with a big counter hit. And that rarely happened cause he usually would run around and miss hits in the first place. Your love for Downey has officially gone out of control with this comment. I don't hate on Downey, I just acknowledge the fact that he was not a great hitter and he can't play the game, he is a great fighter and a good teammate, but lets step into reality here

BAHAHAHA Downey never hit anyone besides Wellwood, he frequently would line guys up and then the next second he would be landing on the ice with his face. May will actually knock guys over when he does to hit them on occasion. Plus when you factor in that May skates well enough to actually play the game as a 4th liner there should be no contest.
