I don't think hitting has gone down, jsut the supermassive hits, mainly because most guys skate with their heads up nowadays, and more guys are showing mercy. That being said it makes the Kronwalian hits seem more special. Besides come playoffs it returns to normal hit wise. As for the scoring, I thought the game the other night was exciting despite the low score. And if you want goal scoring up brain wash the goalies and give them small pads and tell them just to watch pucks fly in the net like the old days.

It actually wasn't a huge hit, he jsut caught the ice with the side of his head and bled pretty hard, I wanna say a visor would have prevented it but idk, surely having his chin strap secured might have helped.

that was a disgustingly bad call, there was another instance in the game where crosby held someone and the ref clearly put his arm up, but when the pens touched the puck they just played on and the ref put his hand down, it was obvious that he put his hand up towards crosby as it was around the red line, it couldn't have been for any other reason, the otehr guy clearly had the puck and crosby was grabbing on to him.

me too, Ritola was really impressive tonight, he had 2 big hits on Ryan Wlson. Maltby surprisingly had a good hit filled shift, and Jaik was stronger than he has been in the past.

Kopitar didn't touch the puck, that hit took 0 skill for phaneuf to make, he is very overrated as a hitter.
