I think you guys just feel guilty about the goalies of the past and so you think you HAVE to defend Howard no matter what he does. I give up. He's average and that's all he'll ever be.

He's not to blame because or offense threw 41 at Rinne? Or he's not to blame because he faced 19 shots and let 3 in?

I don't understand how Howard can always be blameless and yet our "horrid" offense that is throwing 41 shots one of the best defenses and goalies in the league are to blame. Wings fans really are crazy I guess.

Yeah is that why he let in two softies today and caused a goal for us to lose in game one? You guys keep blindly defending Howard. I don't get it. What can you guys see that I can't?

So everything but Howard? Really? Our offense is fine if it can stay out of the box. And our Defense needs a little improvement on the back end but it's still workable.

That we can get? It's too late. We put all our eggs in Howards basket. Honestly in the off season I'm hoping we might be able to get corey schneider or someone.

Howard made a dumb play to Stuart that he had no chance in hell of keeping. That lead to the goal. He should have either dropped and gloved it or passed to the other side where there was no one barreling down at top speed.

First game he caused them to lose. That was a HORRIBLE play that directly lead to the third goal. Second game has was average. Why can't you guys see that? He is just average. He has always been that way. He is not a superstar. I think it's all guilt from the past.

Howard playing atrocious. All series. The guy will make one or two cool looking saves and then terribad rebound the others or just whiff on a one on one.

At first I was pissed off. But then I realized I was not surprised and knew this was exactly how it was going to play out. That's the NHL we live in and it won't change anytime soon as long as Bettman is in charge. But we've known this for years.

Three, four close enough. The point is that four is a lot less than what we had to deal with.

Also look at the Pit/Phi game. There were a grand total of THREE penalties called and the game went ten minutes into OT. And that is supposed to be a "bad blood" series since the teams got in a brawl just a week or so ago. And Philly is known to be a rough and tough violent team. And yet only three penalties? That's INSANE inconsistency. Either call everything a penalty so we can get used to playing games with 32 total penalty minutes, or put the whistles down and call just what needs to be called so we can play some REAL hockey.

Bad luck and bad officiating is a recipe for disaster. On the bright side it's only one game. And if the statistical law of averages holes true the Preds won't be getting bounces again for a while. Without those lucky goals the Preds also had no offense going. I don't think we should be worried yet. Still lots of positives looking forward.
