This. I'm disgusted. I rush home from class to watch what I thought was going to be a great game. Instead I got this garbage. Oh well at least there's something good on the history channel.

I for one thought they played a lot better. Nice win. Now lets catch up to vancouver.

I don't think he stole the game. Rather he did what he needed to do to net us a win. He had a couple spectacular saves. He let in a very soft goal. But overall he had a solid game. Wish I could say the same for the rest of the team. They looked dead until the "omg we only have two minutes left time to try" took affect.

I just got back from the game as well. I must say this was probably one of the most boring and painful games to watch that I've been to, barring a few minutes in the second and the last four minutes in the third + overtime. The wings really skated like they didn't care for the most part. And Howard letting in a very soft goal from the start didn't help. A win is a win I guess, but this win really doesn't instill confidence in me. It's like my sister said: "it's sad how that you can tell now they aren't going to score for the rest of the game". She was almost right too.

He only let in two goals. Can't really ask much more of him. Well I guess you could ask for him to only give up 1 goal in a given game, but a 1 GAA? Best goalie to ever live.

The police have no business getting involved. By stepping out onto the ice, each player knows that they are risking their physical well being. If you don't want to risk being seriously hurt or even killed, don't play the game. There was nothing criminal about what happened. Dirty yes, but criminal no.

Guys we don't need to hit the panic button just yet. Like someone said above, we're still second in the west. There's still what, 15 games left to play? As far back as I can remember (since I'm young), the wings ALWAYS played sloppy like this in February and March, and then turned it on when the season was in it's waning moments. Yeah it frustrates me too to see them play like this but we should give them the benefit of the doubt shouldn't we?

Howard isn't a BAD goalie. He's a mediocre goalie. He's average. There's nothing wrong with that. He plays just good enough most nights to net us a win. I'll admit I didn't watch the game tonight but if he only gave up two goalies you can't really blame him for the loss. 2 goals isn't that unreasonable to give up. Now the problem arises when we factor in the rest of the team. If the defense is having a bad night (which has been happening a lot lately), Howard isn't going to be the kind of guy that can steal a game for us. Is he god awful and needs to be shipped out of town? No because we don't have any better alternative. As much as I want Osgood to be our man and play dominant like he once was, he still has to prove himself especially coming off surgery. So what you guys should really be focusing on his how horribly inconsistent both the offense and defense has been. We're getting what we payed for in Howard. An average goalie who isn't going to steal games every night, but rather keeping us hanging around. If the defense tightens up, that GAA will drop. The problem is, the team as a whole is either playing bored or undisciplined.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who read it in Pavel's broken English.

I hope Osgood gets back soon. We need him to either play good and take the starting job or play good and make jimmy raise his game.

+/- isn't a stupid stat. It does mean something. However like every other stat, you can't measure people based on one stat alone, but rather the combination of them all.

He played a good game last night. That said I still don't think he's the answer. At the very best he is extremely inconsistant. But he still had a great game and should be credited for such.

I'll throw in 20 bucks and old textbooks I used a few semesters ago. You can probably sell them back now for like another 20 bucks.

I really like Salei. I think he does a great job defensively especially for what little he costs. That and his last name sounds cool.

I don't think they will have to wait ten years to realize how bad this idea was... Probably more like two weeks.

Does anyone know the reasoning behind the whole waiver rule? It seems like all it does is screw the signing team over so I was wondering why the league put it in place.
