You're forgetting our own goalie! Jimmy Howard was an absolute monster in the NCAA at Maine. Brendan Smith was a beast at Wisconsin as well and look at who has came out of MSU lately, Drew and Ryan Miller, Abby, Duncan Keith and even stars like Rob Blake played in the NCAA as well. And UM has essentially produced an all-star team of players in the last 15 years

That place was really rocking last night! Definitely a fun game to attend, the lower bowl was spotty but the Upper Deck was absolutely packed, no open seats around us. What a difference Helm and Bertuzzi made, we looked like a whole different team

I don't know why everyone expects this team not to be in the postseason or close to it. They still have the weapons when healthy to be a #6 seed

You know it's a beatdown when the winning team pulls their goalie for the 3rd because they're up so much and they have an extra day of rest for Game 5. What's even worse is the Wings didn't have their best offensive and defensive players. The thing about this series is and has been experience. The Wings did get alot of penalties this afternoon but it was absolutely nothing like the amount of penalties the Hawks got and almost all of the Hawks 14 minors were roughing. Just absolutely no composure or self-control from this team and proof that this team as I've always said is not ready yet to be a winner. The Hawks don't have a chance to win a title for the next 4-5 years. They just have no REAL leadership.

I'm a little worried about tonite. Hiller is hot and the Ducks so far have stayed out of the box. I think the one obvious is that the Wings just aren't shooting good right now. Most of the shots were right at Hiller and pretty easy to save. However one thing I'll admit is the Anaheim Ducks absolutely slow the game down to All-Star game speed. I cannot stand watching that slllllllllloooooooowwww hockey they play. They need to play like the Stars

I knew the Bluejackets were going to lose while the National Anthem was playing. If you saw them on the ice they looked someone put Liquid Heat in their pants as they were all figeting like crazy while the 5 Red Wings on the ice were nice and calm just like any other game. I don't see much difference tonite as the BlueJackets are a little shaken from getting beaten pretty solidly a couple nights ago. I think Game 3 is going to be a different story as the BlueJackets are going to be crazy excited for that one. But for now expect a 2-0 series lead

Do any of you realize the reason ESPN never shows NHL highlights is because they don't show hockey. Why would they show a sport they don't really cover. As for that lacrosse game they showed instead of the North Dakota v New Hampshire game you have to understand that lacrosse was the longest in history so you'd have to show the end just because it was so long and had tons of drama. Also they still were showing the hockey game on the alternate. Just think if they would have cut over to the hockey game the lacrosse fans would have the same argument many of you have now.
