That my friend is the hammer hitting the nail right dead center on the top of the head!!! No matter how Babs puts those top 2 lines together he has 4 proven top 3 guys, Homer may not be the highest producer out of the 4, but he has proven he can be a top 3 guy. Flip and Mule look to be developing into very very talented young players, Huds the same. I believe I posted this in another thread but there are about 12 different realistic line combos for Babcock and Co to be running through, and that is without even mentioning the exact same Stanley cup winning Defense!!! This team is going to be awesome to watch, I am buying center ice for the first time this year, just so I can see these guys play more often, this is going to be a fun year!!!

Just a thought here, but if one of the twins got hurt, then the other would almost undoubtedly play with Hossa correct, thus Hossa is off the second line and gives either of the two playmakers a very very good finisher, and at the same time does not increase their defensive responsibilities because Hossa is very defensively responsible, and that may be an understatement. Not arguing, just saying and injury to one of the top 3 may actually increase the likelihood that the other 2 have at getting their goals, the offense becomes less spread out, and ice time would probably increase as well, plus Hossa would probably also jump to the 1st PP. Just thinking out loud.

The Hatchers, the Millers?

Sorry that was me making zero sense, my point was it looks great on a practice Jersey, but as far as game jersey's go, IMO, if Black is not one of your team colors, don't use it. hope that makes my point clearer.
-
Well actually seeing as he is one of the best defenseman from the west last ye.....BLAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHA I couldn't finish typing it!!!!
-
Well seeing as Fingers will probably be on the ice that should open up lots of chances for Hossa.
-
D'OH forgot about that part of the equation, s*** he scores first shift!!!!
-
NFM, I get your point which is why twice I changed my posts, however, my better judgment slipped and I walked right back into the next post I saw, I was just being sarcastic in that last post.
-
Cool little factoid that I had no idea, that is kind of cool!
-
NFM, juvenile threads on here, NEVER!!! Surely you jest!
-
I completely agree but I really think that was the rationale behind it, why on earth would you change it to white in the first place and then move it back. (Actually not 100% sure of this, were the original home colors the darks in hockey or not?)

Dabura, During the trade deadline we had our fair share of disagreements but thanks for not making fun of my bills and my income and my car. Because those things really hurt my feelings!!!! back on topic: I still think that Aaron Downey and his ability (it may not be a skill but it takes a lot to be willing to do what he does) to sit in the box after every couple of games, and go out there and know full well that the only reason he is there is to use his fists are the best fit for this wings team and their philosophy. I also still contend that an enforcer is not a necessary element of a team. While it does make for entertaining hockey, I still don't think it necessary. The other factor in this is that the Wings players don't get run that often due to body position, they are almost all very adept at getting out of the way. I mean how many times last year did a player(sometime 2) think they had Dats lined up, only to have him slip away, and two of the opponents go flying into each other. Now I am not saying that is a form of retaliation or people are saying don't hit Datsyuk you will miss and hit your teammate, but it is interesting how most of them never really get plastered.

I am not trying to act like anything, I saw your post responded, re read my post and thought better of it, because I edited my post doesn't automatically mean I never wrote it, or that I thought no one would notice. I am done with you on this conversation, as I stated multiple times now, it is not worth it!

I got to agree with NFM here I like black because it really makes the colors pop off of it. I have a 5 year old ccm practice jersey that has the winged wheel with black instead of the white in the wheel. It looks really good (IMO) but I also agree Black is the in thing, I am so tired of Black jerseys as the alternative Jersey, even the C's alternative is green with black stripes and lettering, black has nothing to do with the celtics!!!
-
Same reason behind a third Jersey, revenue. The thinking behind it (I believe I have no inside source) was that fans at home games would want to wear the same color as the team was wearing, therefore the people going to home games would want to buy new jerseys. Same with new logos and new uniform designs every so often, it is all about marketing and revenue. Edit: clarity

I stand by my last post: You know what, it is not worth it! I am not sure why I got involved in an argument where the other person's best argument so far has been,
-
Right here: Half of his games is a lot different than sometimes he played half of his games on D.
-
Is he going to play D as well?
-
Now if they can find a way to get a legit top scorer or maybe even a serious top 3 this guy might get another sniff of the post season.
-
OH Man this board is going to s*** bricks!
-
Really Feds played half of his career as a defense man? Really when?
-
I didn't mean to make it look like we were talking about why he left, you were making excuses giving reasons why he didn't produce as well, I simply stated when he went there he knew the system, for a lot of players that is the reason they choose a team, success and style of play, feds chased the contract, again not money, but years (I don't blame him for that). If you re read my post you will see I said he has not produced at the same rate as he did in Detroit. You are right, points aren't the only measuring stick, team success is another one, especially if you are brought in to be the focal point, aka the man! Please don't take my statements as I hate feds, he is one of the top 5 skill/talent wise players to ever play on the wings, but if we are talking about night in and night out the effort and product he put on the ice he doesn't even crack top 10. Instead of saying if the coach did this or the coach did that his stats would be different, well how about what his teammate Doug Brown said of him the fact that he doesn't play every night, if he had played every night like the game mattered to him what would his stats have been? If he played with half of the heart and dedication as Steve Yzerman you are possibly talking about one of the greatest players of all time, as it is you are talking about a 400 goal score who played when he thought the game mattered. 1 year other than that he produces at the same rate as Sammy!

HEY, put those words back in my mouth thank you!!!!! Never was, never will be cool!
