With the knee injury and the recovery time that it usually takes I don't see Kopecky breaking next years roster. He will have to beat an impressive Helm, who's post season play will be fresh in the minds of the decision makers. Abdelkader will have a healthy knee and Kopecky won't. Not to dig on Kopay but I don't see that knee in TC helping his cause at all.

MY preferred players would be in the following order 1. Brad Stuart, That top 4 would be very very impressive for years to come, at least 2 years with Nick MAYBE longer! 2. Ryan Malone, this kid has really impressed me this year even though the Pens haven't done much in the SCF this kid had a great year and plays both ends very hard. 3. Brian Rolston, I like the way this guy plays, put him on the wing with Flip and Mule, Very Nice!

IMO 1. Lids 2. Ovechkin 3. Zetterberg/Datsyuk To me they are equally as good and should be a tremendous duo and tremendous individual talents as well. The more I try to separate the two and figure out who is better I can't 5. Crosby

I was watching vids on TSN and in the "back in the series" one one of the analysts mentions that the Wings org approached the league and asked if Det could go back and spend time at their facility and with their families during the 2 day break. The league said no that is not how it happens in the SCF. Why? Does anyone have any idea why the league would make a team stay, I mean what is the flight from Pit to Det 45 mins?

As some one with HORRIBLE balance I have never been a big fan of motorcycles, what is the draw? I am not saying this in anyway shape or form lessens the tragedy or makes it his fault, an honest question.

I don't think this is a money issue with this kid I think this is an organizational thing, he sees them going nowhere and wants to win, I can't blame him for it. He turned down the most money he can make so people need to stop acting like he is asking for money, he can not make more than they offered him. Seriously can you blame him though, who wants to play in PHO right now.

Yeah the second part was a guess, just because you wouldn't want guys trying to steal or slide tackle the ball away from each other and a guy come up with a calf or ankle injury. The first guess was what I thought.

I lost 2 close family members and 1 good friend under the age of 20 (all within a year), it is so hard for the family. This set of losses is one of the reasons I am an atheists, more accurately it was the final straw. Going through something like this really really hurts and it leaves a scar that even time cannot heal. I really feel for his family!

I think two touch soccer means you only get two touches on the ball, or if a guy touches you with two hands (ala two hand touch football) you have to give the ball up.

The other thing mentioned in the vid is that Babs took the team out of the hotel and on a "secret outing", meaning he didn't tell the media. I think his point was more to the fact that very very few players in the wings org don't go to GR first. Next year the wings will be looking at Leino, Abdelkader, Helm, Kopecky, Hartigan, as youngsters and also I think Downey has earned a 2-3 year deal, he may not be a difference make in terms of goals and assists, but he did his job great this past season and deserves a shot here again, and this is the perfect situation for him, he can play 50-60 games and step up when someone tries to run a guy. So it is not guarenteed that this kid would crack the line up and if he is looking to get ice time with the big club right away Det may not be the place for him. Now as you alluded to he may come in and be legit real deal Holyfield type forward, however there have been a lot of guys that have come through the NHL that were sure fire can't miss, and many of them are not playing hockey anymore.

Here is a thought (and remember I am a Sammy supporter) Shanny or Sammy? To me I would rather have Shanny on the 2nd pp or 2nd line winger. Having said that I still am not sure I would want him in Det and I am pretty sure he doesn't want to be in Det. When he left it was time, there was a changing of the guard so to speak. IMO the wings should continue to groom the youngsters and let them develop along side the core of veterans that are here and locked up. But if it came down to it and the roster was identical to today's I would want Shanny on that second line. Will it happen I highly doubt it, I don't think the wings need shanny or sundin or any other veteran to be a contender again next year.

Do tell, what are those stats or examples or facts or eye witness accounts do you have of how he doesn't fit in, anything more specific than "There are stats that are not kept and are valid to the out comes of the game"?

The fact that I point to stats and examples and you turn to insults lets me know all I need to know about you. I love the I see it on the ice argument, you know why posters like you use that, because there is no debatable argument against it. Because as you already said you just don't like him, because of his style, however you never really did back that up either. Is it that he doesn't hit, shoots too much, what is it? OH, that is right you just don't like his style of play, oh but why then would you even say that what happens on the ice doesn't show up on the stats sheet, if that has nothing to do with why you don't like him! You obviously don't pay attention to these boards much, he has been the whipping boy since the start of the season. In those last two games, how many other players have 3 goals, how many players have two unassisted goals in the SCF before? BTW the insults you used aren't even good, clever, or original.
