Honestly, if it is something like post concussion syndrome or even worse a blood clot, sit him out the rest of the playoffs. Yes he was the leading scorer on the team at the time of his injury, however he is the 6-7th most important player. And if he was the most important player I still say sit him. His health is more important than the Stanley cup!!!!! This team is deep enough, talented enough, and smart enough to win without him. My main concern (and I am sure it is the wings as well) is his health over his playing this post season or not.

Nothing in that game put a bigger smile on my face than Morrow kneeing himself in the face, that was better than Dats hattie, better than the shorty, he was trying to deliver a bone crusher and did!! Unfortunately he did it to himself, I loved the replay over and over again knee meet face, face meet knee.

Sammy is a role player on this team, with the emergence of Mule, Sammy's role is gone, therefore so is Sammy IMO!! I agree with these lines some what but I think Abdelkader is in instead of Maltby and Franzen is on Flip's wing not the other way around. Plus on D I see that last pairing as Ericsson | Cheli. I don't see Cheli retiring, I just don't see it happening and I think he is better than Meech as a defensive defenseman, plus that puts a vet with Ericsson.

You guys are unreal, I admitted the first series in Nas he looked like crap. But since then the guy has played solid hockey, his forechecking has led directly to 2 goals. I mean the fact that he is 6th in points right now(forwards), 5th in assists (forwards) on this team escapes all of you. Man what is babs thinking playing him in a top 6 role, his numbers obviously show he is not one of the top 6 forwards on this team!! An Assist is an assist, you can try to justify your hate for him by saying he was lucky or they were secondary assists whatever you want. I think it is fu(&ing awesome that Kronwall's name is being thrown around in this discussion. My biggest worry about this guy has been health, can he be healthy enough to develop within the game. You can't get better at the on ice stuff if you are always off the ice. He has shown tremendous ability to step up deliver the hit and not cost the team an odd man rush, he is carrying the puck out of the zone, making great passes. This kid is a legit NHL D-man and is locked up for 4 more years!

I understand the desire to see games sooner than later, but there is more to consider than just the fact that the series are over. Stadium events already scheduled, tv contracts, etc. etc. So it is not like the league is sitting back going, I don't see any reason not to move the games up a couple of days, but nah, lets not do it.

Franzen (if healthy) tearing up the post season has been the only Wing doing it loudly! Ozzie quietly the best goalie in the post season. Dats quietly dominating both ends of the ice! 3rd in pts, 5th goals scored, 2nd +/-, 7th in assists Zetterberg quietly dominating both ends of the ice! 1st in points, 2nd goals scored, 1st +/-, 5th in assists Kronwall hitting machine leads all defensemen in assists and points Rafalski has been a little chippier, a few open ice hits, played great D, and has been awesome with the puck Lids, well honestly what can I say that you guys wouldn't respond with, Yeah no duh, I mean come on, this guy is a machine, even Ivan Drago thinks so!!! The Helm, Hudler, Dmac line has played way above expectations. I guess my point is everyone on this team right now is playing at the very least solid hockey. Yes Franzen would be the front runner right now for any post season awards, Ozzie second (the length of his streak will have a lot to do with any accolades he receives), Dats and Z are tied for 3rd. But this team was awesome to watch last night, I found myself awe struck at times. My buddy who doesn't really watch the NHL was over and kept asking me why Det would cycle the puck or why they would keep pushing the puck to the D men, instead of just shooting as soon as the got the open look. I kept telling him, this is red wing hockey, patience and execution are two of the most important traits of their team, defense and offense!!

This playoff run is sweet and has only been made sweeter by the bandwagoners who jumped ship and had all the reasons in the world that the wings would be ousted in the first round, how they would meet Col and get hosed, how Holland was responsible for the demise of the team, blah blah blah blah!!

OK so to me the best part of that last 8 or so minutes was when Edzo started talking about how the Wings will tire a team out because they are always playing keep away and your forwards are always chasing the puck and that takes more energy. As he started his narration the wings had just won the face off, again, and then he starts in on this diatribe about how the D will take the puck and find forwards make cuts, how the forwards have no problem giving the puck back to the D. He must have spent a good 1.5-2 minutes of game time talking about it and all Doc could say was, this is a great demonstration of what you are talking about. Beautiful, he was just rambling on and the as soon as he would make a comment about a way the wings could keep the puck from the other team they Wings would do exactly what he just said!! Priceless!!

TWEEKVP is 100% correct IMO, If Morrow buries that empty netter (Ozzie was half way to the bench, not for an extra attacker he was just that aggressive towards the puck) a completely different game, between that and the posts Dallas had to be feeling like they were up against supernatural forces.

I do get your sarcasm, but for those who don't, Hullie took over in the middle (during the season, not sure what fraction of the year) of the season, where as Holland inherited his wealth of players in the offseason!!

That is true, but go through the other one's. When the wings are winning this board becomes very elitist and nothing could go better than it is. When the wings are losing this board should be put on suicide watch. I am not arguing you are one of them, just that to make a broad statement like the one I quoted is probably not true. There are many informed posters, however there are way more trolls and flame war starters than the former.
