Crazy right, I paid 100 (including Ticket bastard charges) for a ticket 4 rows off the ice in Boston! What in the hell does a 75$ seat get you at the Joe?
-
Well if they did it the opposite way, the inflatable one would be some where near Moscow by now, and the heavy one probably would be under the hole in the ice it created when they tried to lower for pre-game. But that is just a guess.

This coming from the guy who thinks D shouldn't have been nominated for the Selke!! Does that show your knowledge too?? BTW please do enlighten me as to why that is a bad choice for Vezina? I am aware, thanks to your post, you don't think he should win it. Any reasons why? Did he kick your dog? You could treat this like you did the Dats for Selke conversation, when some one asked you why you think Dats is so far behind Z in defensive play, you could not respond. Or you could overload the discussion with your interpretation of stats, which is more you Modus operandi. But at least using stats backs up your statement some how. Nabokov, Lundquist, Broduer those are the three finalist as voted, which I have to assume you were not part of that voting experience. SO why would choosing any of the three be a bad idea. I am not saying the award is Nabokov's, but I am not eliminating him from the running, as you appear to have done.

MY b, I took your sarcasm the other way!! Sorry about that!!!

I agree 100% Turco can stand on his head and stop every shot he SEES!!!! However if Franzen and Homer (Cleary to a lesser extent) are going to be able to set up in front of Turco he is not going to stop the wings. Lids and Ralf beat him clean on back to back shots, Lids hit the post, and Ralf buried the shot. Turco had no clue where the puck was, he can't stop what he doesn't see!

Osgod, J-ho would be awesome to see in the winged wheel, I was born and raised in Maine, huge u-maine fan, I would love to see J-ho in net right now leading the way to the cup. However Ozzie, and even Hasek, are better options right now. If J-ho is ready he will prove it by beating out Ozzie in the next couple of years, if not, Larsson will, If not the wings will get a goaltender.

Hahahahhahaahahah Great analogy!!!!!!

Yeah I got that, but it is not like the team has no goal tending at all. It would be like complaining about not using the drafted D-men because they drafted Signed Rafalski. (Edit: Just being a dumbass!!) Do I want to see the wings use the youngsters they draft, yes I do, however if their is a better option I think Holland, Babs etc. have a responsibility to the team/org to do everything they can to get the better player. Sure Ericsson looks like he will be legit, however I would still rather have Ralf and Stuart. A known commodity is USUALLY better than the unknown. IMO!!

Detroit's *****!!! Come on man, use your imagination!! Sorry I live in a state where vanity plates run rampant, and I used to live in maine where it is even worse. I get a lot of practice working these things out!!!

No s*** I am so tired of the wings missing the post season because they have no goaltending!! I am pissed about that too!! OH wait!! Why do so many of you continually question what this org does. Can you tell me of another club in the last 15 years that has handled personnel this well? Because if you can I would like to know who!!! I am not saying every move is a diamond, but what happens if J-ho comes out in two years and is the next best thing since goaltender X! What if they hold back Larsson 15 years and at the age of 37 he leads the wings to a cup, was it still a bad move! I understand you were being sarcastic, but the meaning behind your statement was still there!

Didn't Hakan take responsibility for the Brunnstrom ordeal, claiming if he had done his work better Fabian would have been drafted by the wings, stating he had to go to a family event on a day he was supposed to see Brunnstrom play! Either way, the man has an eye for Hockey talent!!

NHL.com it is the banner on their site, you click on it and it exposes the full image. It is one of those teaser things!

I don't think Turco was to blame for any of his goals against. Same with most of the ones on Jose Three or Four! It is the team defense in front of them that just isn't good enough. ANA had the physical D-men to move Franzen, Cleary, Homer around. Dallas does not have the D to move the guys out of the net, they do not play a solid enough team D to slow down Detroit. The photoshop photo of the Detroit Red Wings Parking only in front of the net is so funny and true!! I don't think the win last night had anything to do with Turco other than the fact he was the poor unfortunate fool behind his defense that looked vastly inferior to Detroit's offense.

Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are going to give the stars credit for missing on plays then the wings get credit for the scoring chances they had as well. For instance the Kronner Flip 2-1 that the puck bounced over Kronner's stick. That is 5-2 if you include the "unlucky" 2-1's. No difference in the game.

There were also a couple of plays where he either got hit in a corner, was digging in the corner, and then when the play went to the other end he was one of if not the first guy in the opposite corner. Speed is unfair and slow people like myself should be given some sort of head start. This kid is a solid defensive player, and again I have to give credit to the poster (I forgot your name again, sorry!) who said this kid is like a Draper Jr. great wheels, great skater, solid positionally.
-
Don't they already keep an attack time stat? I know it doesn't include time with the puck on your half of the ice, but similar to what you are talking about. I do believe that stat would tell the story of the last 5 games though!

The Illitch's have built a family here, look at how many players stay here their whole career ie: Stevie, Lids. How many players can't wait to get back to Det, Ozzie, Mac. Plus every time a player turns around he runs into Howe, Yzerman, Bowman all the greats. The Wings as an org have built a culture of winning here, s*** anything less than a cup for the wings is a failure, how many other teams are just happy to make the post season. If even people thinks he sucks, Holland does a great job of getting the right people with the right skill to round out the roster and doesn't put all of his eggs in one basket.

The best part about this is that before the game and in the early stages, playing a couple of days ago was an advantage the stars had over the wings, the announcers were saying the wings would be rusty and the stars would be sharp!! BS!!! One thing I did notice and think this will be a big factor for the wings success. The wings only get hit, when they feel they need to in order to get the puck to a teammate. The Stars can not hit the wings, neither could the Avs, the only team to really hit them with any regularity was Nas. You can't hit what you can't catch, and if you get close enough to hit one, he gets rid of the puck so by the time he is hit, it is a moot point, puck is gone and the player usually turns his body and absorbs the hit. Or it D's case he just hits the guy back and watches him fall to the ice!!! That game was a complete and epic fail if you are a stars fan. Hagman's break away will hopefully be a prelude to this series, the stars were so close yet so far away. One of the few times they get past the Wings D, not defenseman but the team D, and Ozzie says: I was really impressed with the way the Wings handled the Stars in game one, but I have to say, I don't expect the series to have to many more games decided by 3 goals or more. This is a good stars team, they will make adjustments. They will probably start by trying to stay out of the box.

As big of a fan of J-ho and as much as I want to see him lead the wings to the cup, Goaltenders are like pitchers in baseball, just when you think you too many, you realize you don't have enough. If this kid is legit as much as man love as I have for J-ho, I want to see the wings continue their dominance for another 15 years more than I want to see J-ho be a star!

I honestly think you guys need to read Yahoo sports more often, yes the writers aren't that well known and aren't hockey experts, but the pieces are usually pretty nuetral. If they do a piece on one team they will do a similar on the others (as far as playoffs go). And most of their experts have said, the wings skill is too high for any other team, compounded with the team D and most of them see this team as unbeatable in a series, not a game, series!

NO way!!! I don't care if Malts is in for Mac, really don't want him in for Helm. But for Drake, that is out of the question, IMO, Drake - Cleary - Draper have been a great line. Drake is a perfect fit with Cleary and Draper, he had a massive hit on Ribeiro (I think) last night. Drake (IMO) needs to stay with Cleary and Draper unless and injury forces the Wings to replace some one on the FFS line!
