    Holmstrom (knee) out; Hartigan recalled

Right now I would like the wings to make every effort to keep Z and dats as well as Huds and Flips paired. Right now as the roster stands the team has to be thinking that barring injury these pairings will be together with the ZDH line when Homer is all set. It sounds weird to say pairings when talking about forward lines I know, but if you think about it the playmakers on those lines are Z-D and Huds-Flips.

Joffrey Lupul is having a crazy game

The funny thing harold is that it is Pit that is pushing the rough stuff, of course philly is more than happy to oblige. yeah but only after a slashing and crosscheck penalty back to back.

    Euro-Problems

Of course it hurts look how many people on here want French-Canadian players, I am not saying when people say oh so and so would be great he is a good scorer or defenseman. I mean I have seen people on here type that he wings should get a guy because he is French-Canadian or North American. I have even heard people say they want the team to get a North American. Not mentioning a name, just ethnicity/background. If that is the way it is on a Wing's fan board it can only be worse in the overall picture.

    Impressive night

I have a feeling Tim Thomas's injury is a lot worse than they are letting on. Tuukka Rask was playing well enough, probably not well enough to get them the last two wins though, to get Thomas a couple of days off, maybe a week But one of the sports shows around here said the B's are being real tight lipped with Thomas. I will tell you right now, he is this teams Manny Legace when everyone was screaming for him to be the starter. In short burst, 20-30 games, he is unreal. But he appears to tire real quickly and real dramatically. Some of that maybe the way the B's are using him, but he is a house of fire for a month or so and then he tends to suck for a week or two. But Tuukka Rask is going to be the real deal, Toronto lost out on that deal.

I didn't get to watch the Detroit game, live in New England, so I am watching the tail end of the B's game. Let me tell you something Auld looks damn good. He may not last like this for a long time but he has put up two really good showings in net for the B's. I didn't expect this kind of play from him. And why would the sabres fans boo Chara all night?

    WOW

I know what has happened but I am still a little leery about it, in a couple of weeks if nothing pops up I will finally buy into it! I truly hope for your sake your team doesn't leave Nashville on you, I am not a Nashville hater, but I am tired of the circus (not nearly as tired as I assume you are) so I won't believe it until I am ready. That was everything I thought it would be thanks for posting it!!! Parros can throw!!

And that worked out so well for the both of them didn't it. I got to watch Danny in a recent Monarchs game. Funny thing is my friend and his family are Monarch fans because they are a local hockey team and they like it, they don't really follow any pro sports. The first thing my friend says to me as we are walking in and he sees Clouts starting I almost peed right there, all I could think of was the avatar with clouts diving and the beach ball going past into the net. Sorry I can't remember who's avatar it is though!!
  17. I had a hip flexor injury the summer before my senior year in high school (wow that was a while ago), it can be very painful. Depending on how it happens movement can hurt to move in any direction also sitting has to be the most painful part of the injury. I can't imagine what sitting on that crappy wooden bench must have felt like for him.

Right after you got appointed dictator of the board. You don't like a thread don't post in it or read it! However if you choose to post in it you lose the right to ***** about it because you are contributing to it. It is like voting for Bush and then bitching about how people voted for him, you can't have both!! Also if you read my post I said I need to see a video of it, meaning I am looking for some one to post it. My bad for assuming that people on a discussion board would have the where with all to be able to read that sentence and decipher that I wanted to see the clip. But then again I have high expectations of this board, like expecting people to look for a topic before they post a new one, you know for example if there are already 57 goalie threads that they post their thoughts in the ones already there. Or that the 87 million people who post new threads about bringing back old Wing's players will learn to use one thread. Or that people actually use logic and facts in their arguments not just gut feelings or because they do or don't like a player. Octocpus Dank: The avatar was a sign made by another poster during all of the Nashville sale crap. There motto for saving them was "Our Team", the other poster photo-shopped it and this is what he did. I found it funny and I will use it until I am sure the deal is legit, and actually been completed.

    Nashville blows

I believe (but could be wrong) Phoenix was the first to do this against DET a couple of years ago. They got tired of their home games feeling like away games with more DET fans that PHO fans. It has also been thought about in MLB whenever the Sox or Yanks are visiting. I think that is a slippery slope to travel on, because what is to stop a team like DET from saying well if you draw more when we are there, and charge more when we are there, we are obviously the draw and the reason people are coming we want our cut. OR They could say well when crappy teams are in DET we are going to offer cheaper tickets because no one wants to see you play. I think ticket prices should be across the board the same price. IF you want to give season ticket holders a break than do so, but on all tickets not one team. My tix to see the B's/Wings games don't qualify for any discount, even the TDBanknorth one my mom should have received when she order my tickets. That was the point of having her do it, I am 31 and can buy tickets on my own, but if I can get a 20-30 % discount, why in the hell would I pay full price. But because it is the Red Wings no deals, the only game on the season that you cannot get a discount on. TDBanknorth owns the building they are in, how in the hell can they not get their discount?

    OFFICIAL: Niedermayer returns to Ducks

Plus, suspended or not the only reason the ducks are near the cap is because of Neids, if he never comes back they have 6.2 to play with. If he comes back they need to clear 462,000 dollars. They are trading (or cutting) a black ace away from being under the cap. Next year's cap is where the problem lies, they have (I forget the term) to be under next years expected (guessed) cap, which with Neids because it is his full salary they will be about 462,000 over cap. Since he was suspended he will lose roughly half of his salary by the time he gets back which is going to be about 3.85 mil, that leaves them plenty of space this year to sign a mid grade forward. But it would have to be a rental situation. Neids money was on the books from the start of the year, Selanne isn't/wasn't so signing him is where it will/would get really tricky for them. I have a very hard time believing that this was a conspiracy, I hate Burke as much as the next guy, but this is just a guy deciding if he still has the love for the game, and because pro sports have become a year round training and playing cycle the only way to test that love is to walk away from the game for a while. I don't blame Neids, he had to see if he still had the desire and the heart to do it anymore. Apparently he misses it enough to give up coaching his son's hockey team, which to me would be a pretty big sacrifice. Think about it, he is passing up teaching his son the game he loves and being a part of his son developing into a hockey player. Either way they will not win the cup unless they bring in a scoring threat like Selanne, Hossa, (which they really can't afford) or some one else off of the market. They need to take defensive pressure off of the guys like MacDonald, Getzlaf, and Perry, plus someone who can create their own opportunities and set up others. Burke has put himself in a sticky situation, especially when you consider the team wanted a self imposed cap. He will have to be careful this year and next but after that they should be all set, seeing as after the 08-09 season he will have 14 UFA including: Bert MacDonald Marchant Pahlsson Moen May Parros Schnieder Beauchemin O'Donnell Hnidy Huskins Neids and 2 RFA Wirtanen Segal Note: They have one defense man sign beyond 08-09, and no cap space for that year. This team (barring Neids decision) is pretty well in place for this year and next, unless the get rid of Schneids or Neids retires! Edit:big difference between UFA and RFA

Trade, not a huge one though

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=AhW7...p&type=lgns Alex Auld for Nate DiCasmirro, a 29-year-old forward who has played 20 games this season with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.

    Recchi on waivers...

That's kind of sad, makes me glad Yzerman hung them up when he did. I would have hated for his career to end by having cleared waivers! Don't take that as I wanted him gone, just glad it didn't end like Recchi's.
