I have a few friends who work as Cops, Jail Guards and the like, the one thing prisoners will not tolerate is abuse of Children, this dude will get messed up in prison! I remember back a few years ago they did a piece on a child molester in Maine (when I was living there) they showed photos of him going to prison and then heading to his first court appearance. You could hardly recognize the man, his face and hands where so swollen, cuts, bruises, and imo he deserved every bit and more. I always liked Theo on the ice, off the ice he had his problems, but on the ice, the guy was a player I liked and would have taken on the Wings any day!

There are what 21 games after the Olympic Break, plenty of time for Ozzie to get games so as not to "Burn" him out.

Seriously, UFC officials would have stepped in and stopped that fight, due to ass whoopin'! If the guy is beating up someone with the "Little Brother hold" (when you put your hand on someone's forehead and they can't hit you because they can't reach) that badly, stop the fight. Scott should get 0 pims, and Bolduc should have got 2 for instigation, 5 for not showing up to a fight you started, 10 misconduct for having no right to enter the fight, and a two game suspension for landing 0 effective strikes!

I think refs in most sports for the past 5 years suck. They cannot keep up with the players in today's sports and non of them seem to use the offseason to get better at what they do. More often than not I find refs to have a little bit of a Napolean complex, and not simply because they are small, but because they are jealous. One has to assume that to ref a sport you must love it like a player would, if you love the game that much wouldn't you want to be a player? Who grows up saying I want to be an NHL ref, instead of player? Donaghy is not a pariah, he is not the only ref in every sport to cheat, nor to shape the outcome and results of games. But in order to weed these corrupt bastards out, there needs to be more than he said she said.

Beat me to it, as a backup he was on the roster most of the games, a back up gets credit for the game even if they see no ice time. It is not games played, but games on the roster.

Thinking along these lines Babs could tell him, you are our guy in the post season until you lose 2 games in a series. That way at worst the Wings are 0-2 in a series when Ozzie comes in. The worry here is he has that on his head instead of just playing. I still think this team should go into the Playoffs with Ozzie in net and I am one of the biggest J-Ho fans here. However I think this year this team can sneak up on a few teams in the post season when healthy, and make a decent run. To do that I think they need to play Ozzie. The caveat here is that Ozzie must play the lion's share of the games leading up to the playoffs, so the team can get used to a new playing style back there, as well as that Babs will need to evaluate and if the team D turns back to Oct (they tend to play better team D in front of Howard) then he should go with Howard based on how the team plays in front of him. Which is really what I believe Babs is doing now. I don't think there is a conspiracy or whatever, he is just playing J-Ho because the team (except ANA and LA) plays better in front of him.

But in OCT howard was an awful goalie, and generally wings defense was brutal etc etc. He may have dogged on the Wings in OCT, but they deserved it!

Jimmy gets the nod for Netminders, Myers will be the D rep and Tavares regardless will be the forward and overall front runner in the group. Warning the rest is a rant Rask is getting hosed, Tim Thomas is making too much money for the Beantown folks to Bench him. Unfortunately a lot of line ups in this area are about who makes the dough (see J.D. Drew in RF for the Sox). Thomas is a poor man's version of Ozzie (although I believe paid more than Ozzie, too lazy to look it up right now!) Rask will be the future in Boston, this kid has been highly touted and played very well everywhere he has been, yet no one will ride the kid. Did he even start in TO? (I know he was there 1? year and was what 17/18?) Raycroft for Rask was a win for Boston then and the kid is better now. Why he rides the pine is beyond me. Personally I think he is a better goaltender than PHI/OTT/CHI/WAS/TBL well lets just say better than a lot of teams have. Tavares wins it and I am happy about that, very rarely does the guy who deserve it win it, or does the guy who wins it get the fan backing. Usually the fans (unless the player is from their team) will go on rants on every blog about how the 2nd or 3rd place guy deserved it. J-Ho even being mentioned will be great for his confidence, but I think winning it is out of the question for anyone other than Tavares. While he is not Crosby or Ovie, he is a young name and the league is pimping the young names! Problem with that as the NBA has found out with Agent zero, you pimp them out, you put them in front of everyone, they f*** up (Hey if Tiger can f*** it up Crosby/Ovie anyone can f*** it up) you are now on the hook for them. David Stern made Arenas a fool, Arenas acted the part, and now they are trying to blame only Gilbert. Tavares will win because he is a forward and a hopeful huge name, Howard if Nominated will come in third because he is a netminder, unless he is a vezina candidate.
