Toronto should have said, dude, it went in directly off of the shot, not shot then bounced around the crease or any of that, it just went in the gap between Auld's toe and the net. Or because he is a Hawk, the link I posted he apologizes for his behavior and how it made his family look, not that he was innocent and the facts will be out. For your sake (as I assume you are a Hawks fan) I hope you are right but you are talking about: 4 mil a piece, yet Campbell who is what, the third best defense man on the team is making 7mil, do you think Keith's agent won't make that apparent to his client. The Hawks are not the Wings, they do not have the last 15 years of success to use as leverage with players. All an agent has to say is lets look Rick DiPietro, or the Tampa Bay Lightning. These types of contracts have more of a history of them working out badly then they do positively, whether it be due to injury or the fact that the team is unable to fill out an NHL roster. If they sign contract extensions how do the Hawks meet the Tagging requirement? This move will cost them tremendous depth, and they still have no goaltending! Just for kicks: Keith 3.5 (if he signs for this I will be astonished, and he deserves the BlackHawks version of the Noble Prize) Kane 4.5 Toews 4 That means they have about 20 mil in Forwards and roughly 13 mil in Defense signed for next year. Roughly 43 mil before the three aforementioned deals. 8 other RFA's that they will not be able to even contend to with a league minimum offer sheet. And they will only have 5 defenseman signed. And 12 forwards. They will need to sign at least 1 more forward and 2 more D, with no money. (some of the signed players being AHL talent anyway) And most importantly they will have ONE very expensive very inconsistent netminder. All of this with those three taking the deals I laid out, you really see them signing for those numbers. Even if some of the years could be 12 mil they are still leaving at least that much on the table, to be on a team with 0 depth! But please if I have overlooked something point it out.

I have heard the same things said about the RIAA and the Russian Website I use for music for years. First they were going to block Visa cards, then they were going to block paypal, blah blah blah. I have been using that site for about 7 years, I pay for my music (like my stream) and they have yet to take my music back, take me to court, or close the site. I know the risk, as after all it is the internet and nothing on here is what it seems. but 12.00 for a month, I have watched 2 games on it, $12 is a small loss a month to be able to watch the Wings games that otherwise I can not watch. And my money is already gone, is no longer my money. At this point if they get shutdown it is not them at fault for taking my money, it is my fault for giving them my money. Without unloading either Campbell or Huet (if not both) this will not happen, unless the players take MASSIVE discounts over a very long period of time. The same thing Hossa did last year and the Hawks got investigated on. I have a hard time seeing Toews and Kane signing for less than 5 mil a year. Who knows, I mean Hossa came to Det for far less than he could have had else where.

The one question I would have liked to see is what did Balsillie do that was worse than the situation in ANA this year or NAS last year? Two owners who without a doubt have shown to be less than "Quality" owners!

atdhe, and others like Justintv (I think that is the name) are all stolen streams and eventually get taken down, and usually for me it is during the game, or just after I make the connection and get excited about watching. Then it :puke: on me! Honestly if I could have found a good feed that was there nightly I would never have paid for them, but I tired quickly of hunting the GDT for a stream. The only one I haven't tried that has appeared in any of these threads is the P2P, I am not much of a torrent guy. If you are looking for a free feed to be there every night, I hate to be Debbie Downer and all, but I spent the better part of the last 2 seasons fighting that battle. Atdhe will be there one night and not the next week. Then it will be up for a game or two then missing for a week. By be there I mean the game will be viewable not the site will be there. In the end my time is worth more than the amount I paid so I just finally coughed up the dough.

If you are like me and cannot get a quality stream, live way the f&ck out of market. Do the Hockeystreams thing. I know, I know everyone wants a free stream. But, Hockeystreams is only bad if you do one day at a time (4.99) a month is 11.99 and 3 months is like 25 and I think 6 months is 45. I did the month and let me tell you the quality of stream and the consistency of the stream are unrivaled by any free stream you will find I will re up for the rest of the regular season. P.Marlowe brought this up in a GDT last week and I went for it. You can see any game any night. Worth the couple of scents a day if you do it long term, one day is no where near worth the price of admission, but the month and more definitely are!

Really that is what this thread is about, I thought it was a couple of people saying he has played well. I don't even recall anyone but people like you saying "WHOA, he is not a superstar" even using the word superstar in this thread.

Exactly and he is playing better than 15-20 goals, he just has nothing to show for it! He has played very very well just not getting the lucky bounce, a lot of posts or just misses.

Do you also recall him being one of the best netminders in the AHL for 2 years?

Babcock put it best, Howard is pressing, babs said in practice they have seen this from him, then when in the game he stiffens up and that is where babs thinks the rebound issue is coming from. Dats and Z seem to be really getting comfy with the new linemates, not that they are not used to swapping linemates by now, but they are showing signs of comfort. Dats and Z getting to know their linemates and vice versa is bad news for other teams. What makes Dats so damn amazing is once he gets the feeling for a guys tendencies or where he likes the puck it seems to almost always be there. Look at the last homer wrister from dats. (Last one I can remember rather, missed a couple of games latley). Dats feeds a no look pass right on the tape of Holmer, I mean right where Holmer likes it, he burries it. And Z to a slightly lesser extent can do the same. (very slightly, I am a HUGE fan of both of them, not a Dats is way better than Z or Z blows dats out of the water guy. I can like the whole team still right?) Big Bert is around the net, he is due for a break out, it is going to happen, Leino should he has really improved his D, imo, Cleary is still Dan Cleary what can you say about the guy that doesn't end o rbegin in "All Heart". This team will pull it together, the D is still tops in the league (on paper) Ozzie is a very good to great goaltender still, everyone has funks, hell the whole team was in one, but when you make a mistake and it ends up in the back of the net every time (as usually happens with netminders, no dig on Ozzie there) it is really easy to blame that guy. It has been done before, even by the Wings, but most recently by the Pens, with parity a bad start is not nearly the crippling factor it used to be.

Good point because the talent and shots that J-ho faced at the AHL are the same he is facing in the NHL. Just like a guy that scores 40 in the OHL he should be able to do it in the NHL right? I get that you are not one of the guys calling for the kids head, but to say handling shots in the AHL is the same as in the NHL is absurd and borders on ludacris (HEHEHEHE). Because that is what rebound control is all about, his ability to handle the shot and then direct it where he wants. Joey Mac had/has nowhere near the raw Talent Howard has, your comparison shows your limited knowledge or lack of objectiveness on this situation. Do the red wings screw up talent evals from time to time, but why is it so difficult for fans of the team of the decade to have faith that they chose the right BACKUP! Have the Wings said Howard is the future since he was drafted? When has Ken H or any one else said Howard is for sure the number one netminder of the future? But again LGW would not be happy with a 9-1 win, no way in hell, not happening!

Take your logic and patience with a rookie elsewhere! He should be Patrick Roy or Martin Brodeur now, no goalie that is ever good in the NHL is ever bad in the first 20 games of the NHL. /sarcasm
