I am 100% in agreement with you if Gill gets called on the Helm play. To me the two are the exact same play. A player from behind uses his stick against the player with the puck's hands, causing the player in possesion to lose control. Same play to me!

Am I the only Wings fan that thought Z looked out classed, never lost the gloves until the last punch he threw, Malkin landed a few clean shots after losing his gloves (and stick mind you), it was basically a draw with Malkin winning the non-gloved punches thrown category and taking the fight.

I am willing to wager (and of course it is completely unprovable) that with Bylsma behind the Bench all season this team challenges Boston, SJ and Det for best record. As it was they were one of the best teams second half of the season. Remember before Bylsma they were out of the playoffs (9th I believe). The only call I had a problem with was Gonchar (or Orpik) hauling down Abdelkader with the open net in front of him in the second. But the hook call with Hossa on the boards that followed was a make up so I guess all was even. All in all I liked calls, all of them (except the hook I just mentioned) were calls, the non-calls I can live with. If you let it go both sides, I don't care. The calls that they do make are usually what bothers me. Although I am still waiting for the phantom Stuart/Kronwall interference hit. BTW- Malkin is lucky to be still playing, Kronner had the sights on him!

Same theory, why rush him back if you are winning, game one was a little nerve racking for me, Game 2 should be a good game, but I don't foresee either team losing at home, this will go 7, with games 2 and 4 being closer to blowouts than tight games. 3 or 4 goal (with an en) games.

I have got to assume all Babs has to do to motivate these guys is play the Versus/NHL commercials, and how they make it look like the Pens won the whole thing and each and everyone of them is amped up, I bet that is what led to the 6-1 Hawks game. Babs knew he with all of the injuries that he needed to give his guys their spinach (think Popeye) and showed them the "Sudden Death becomes Sudden Life" commercial, and you know the rest of the story!

Are you serious, Leino in no way shape or form can Hold Hossa's jock right now, he may not ever make this team, and yet you are sure he will be better than Hossa in 7 years, really I think a lot of people probably thought they would be better than a 37 year old Sundin too. If you had gone with say Hudler, flip or you know another guy who has proven anything in the league your argument may have been stronger but as it is, Abdelkader has the same chance as Leino at being better than Hossa in 7 years, very little. Hossa, Z, and Mule at age 37 big deal, the cap will have gone up by then or the league will be dispanded, or the cap will have gone down some where in the middle and player would have to (like after the lock out) restructure deals.
