In a gloomy 3rd period, I'm not thinking about the score, I'm thinking about Henrik Zetterberg. This guy is always there, always fighting hard, always leading, always trying to find a way, and I couldn't be prouder to have such a player in the Red Wings uniform. He's the future Captain for a reason - he is the man that will show up every game and never give up. So come on, shake off your Game 7 gloomies, and give it up for one of the brightest stars in Red Wings history: Z!! -

Nobody can do it on their own, but with Z it's alllllmost possible. -
and they shouldn't - Drapes gives us a HUGE boost in faceoff % and he's pretty fast (surrrrre, not as fast as Hurricane Helm, but fast) - Malts is a tried and tested grinder

I hope you don't mean "how many people expected the Sharks or the Ducks to be the W.C. Champions".... because I have news for you: Nobody =P It has been a great season, though. It takes a lot of guts to get this deep after winning a Cup the previous season. Here's to ending this season on another high note!

90% 86% because 12 out of 14 teams have won the Cup at home when it went to 7 games 4% from the Awesome Fan Team-Motivating Factor (tm... and totally legit) The 10% that could let it slip away is Gary Bettman Ref Schmoozing (also tm, and possibly legit). The Wings will be motivated with 20,066 red sweaters screaming for a victory, so only the referees and GB karma can make it slip away!! =P

Man, I don't know what it takes to motivate the Wings to play with intensity (apparently not the thought of the Cup sitting 400 feet off the ice), but I hope they find it by Friday night

Agree with all of this. I saw an interview where it was Bylsma and his daughter sitting in the seats at Mellon just shooting the breeze with a reporter pre-game 6 (VERY pre game 6) and he was talking about how cool it was to go from being an interim to the Stanley Cup Finals. I wish this guy all the best (just not tonight or, possibly, Friday night)... I'm sure we'll see more of him soon!

"knifed away" may be replaced by "poke check" or simply "poke", which is what it actually is. -
Pens fans are just mad that they got Hoss in a trade for a guy who turned out to be great when he was with another team, and then Hossa left them with nothing to show for their trade. Sucks for them but those are the kind of risks you take when trading players halfway through the season.
