If you could stick 12 of one forward on the Wings out on the ice, who would you pick? For Example: Zetterberg-Zetterberg-Zetterberg Zetterberg-Zetterberg-Zetterberg Zetterberg-Zetterberg-Zetterberg Zetterberg-Zetterberg-Zetterberg I'd pick Helm.

I care! The reason the Wings had to let go of Hossa and Hudler is because teams like Phoenix and Florida can't pay their bills. I don't like the other end of the spectrum (New York Yankees) where one team generates all the revenue and can pay as much as they want to get the best players in every position, but I'm against the end of the spectrum we're at now where all the teams have to be even so the NHL doesn't have a few franchises fold.
-
It's a proposition. What is so hard to understand? A team gives the NHL up to X million dollars of revenue generated from advertising on its jersey. The league, in return, grants the team additional cap space. The NHL can redistribute the money to struggling franchises (revenue sharing), and teams that have drafted/acquired well don't have to suffer from forced parity.
-
So if the Wings would have had a 66 million dollar cap this year instead of a 56 million dollar one, you would have chosen to keep the ads OFF the jersey? A team should be able to give the league their jersey advertising revenue, up to a certain amount, in exchange for more cap space.

Yah, but Zetterberg doesn't have a certain player on his line slowing him down. Don't forget about that, Carmen.
-
3 p's? Dang. I was having a hard time coming up with a nickname for him with only 2. The Filppulator.
-
I don't know about that. Zetterberg has been good in the playoffs, but that might be because Datsyuk is getting the opponents checking line. Zetterberg always seems to be playing against the other team's scoring line.
-
Where is Tatar?
-
Datsyuk can do it all, though. Hit, skate, pass, score, steal, etc. Zetterberg is a more polished skater and probably has a little more class in the slot, but Datsyuk doesn't get injured as often and is tougher to play against.

I like #2. That is a pretty sick move, too.

Well, the Kings are doing well. The Sabers are doing well. The Islanders are on the rise. The Coyotes are having a strong start, even. I'd say 50/50 so far. I'm not saying that Detroit needs to dump every player over 32 or something like that. I'm just saying that it would probably benefit Detroit more to have Ritola/Tatar/Leino learning how to be NHLers NOW than it would benefit Detroit to re-sign Holmstrom, Matlby, and May.
-
I'd like to see more of the photoshop pictures made. They are funny.
-
Holmstrom needs to go, and we need SPEED and ENFORCEMENT. Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Helm Cleary-Filppula-Franzen Kariya-Abdelkader-Tatar Eaves-Draper-Boogard Lids/Ericsson Rafalski/Kronwall Lebda/Stuart Osgood Howard
-
I'd like to see Z and Dats play that game.
-
Problem is that he needs to do this on the GRIFFINS. The Wings need guys that already have those tools in place.
-
The Red Wings will be fine.
-
I think it's important to remember that Leino is a freaking rookie and is playing against NHL top 2 lines. That's not easy for a rookie to do. I think Leino is going to be more effective when we get our 1st and 2nd line guys back and he can play against NHL 3rd and 4th lines. He's not Toews, Kane, or Tavares. We need to get used to that.
-
That would be sweet. What about having the speed and hitting of 12 Darren Helm's? You'd never get above 2 goals every night, but you probably wouldn't give up many either.
-
Need more Helms.

We lost back to back games on the road to 2 good teams. Oh no. We're changing the name of this site from LetsGoWings to LetsGiveUp. The games were close, too!

I believe that the Detroit Red Wings are in the most critical portion of this season. We've gone over the goods and bads of the players, the coaches, the fans, the referees, the commissioner, etc. But now we have started a stretch of games that will greatly determine the direction we head in as far as playoff seeding goes. New York Rangers, 11th place, Win St. Louis Blues, 13th place, ? Anaheim Ducks, 15th place, ? Nashville Predators, 7th place, ? Phoenix Coyotes, 6th place, ? Tampa Bay Lightning, 9th place, ? Dallas Stars, 8th place, ? 6 more games against weak opponents before we run into the Chicago Blackhawks for a home and home. If the Wings win all of those games, they will be 20-10-5 and will more than likely leap-frog 3 teams into 6th place. I think all the naysayers will be silenced once that happens. I'm expecting a great 2 weeks out of the Wings. This is the turning point.

Ok, here's the deal: If you had wishes to ask ONE PERSON that has any type of relatioinship with the Red Wings (could be a fan, coach, GM, player, etc.), what would they be?
-
I'd say Lidstrom is the only one now. Dats has been playing pretty fricking good lately.
