Zetterberg absolutely owns Crosby. It's hilarious. Crosby has had one decent game this whole series, and that was a game where Z didn't blanket him. Crosby's tears aren't really tears, you know. They're sweat beads. It gets really hot wearing Zetterberg and his burly beard all over the ice.

He's a minus 2 this series. He's a minus 1 for the playoffs. Maltby is a minus 1 for the playoffs. Chelios is even in plus minus for the playoffs. Are you getting the picture? Some of these guys aren't aging like Lidstrom, Rafalski, and Osgood. Some of them are OVER THE HILL. I'm not saying that the Wings should treat them like dirt. I'm just saying it's time for Holmstrom, Maltby, and Chelios to work in the front office or manage restaurants. That's all.

Datsyuk = phenominal. How anyone called him out for being soft or compared him to being less of a competitor than Yzerman is beyond me. This guy is the BEST player in the league. Zetterberg is a close 2nd. That's why Hossa is here. He wants to be the 3rd best player in the league. And he is learning how.

Are you kidding me? The guy is the next Ovechkin. And he's only 36 years old. If the Wings don't sign him to 5 years/30 million, I will be very upset. Homer is a sure fire hall of famer. That's what people actually think here! The HHO is a weird thing that can't be explained scientifically. "But he gets his ass beat out there. What other player is willing to get his ass beat like that?" Uhhhhhh, so you're saying that it's hard to fill the spot of "horrible skater who gets his ass beat out there"? One Word = NO.

The Hoss

Ha ha ha ha ha. That's good. I think we should match him to Lidstrom's salary, too. He's just a phenominal force out there. Did you watch last night? Go back and watch the start of the game. It's blatantly obvious that when Holmstrom is on the ice, the Wings scramble. No matter who his linemates are. WATCH THE GAMES, PLEASE. His first shift into the game, he got on the ice with Samuelsson and they spent 30-45 agonizing seconds chasing the Penguins in the Red Wings' zone. Looked like a goal could happen at any time. Thankfully, it didn't, and they got Holmstrom off the ice. The guy is a HUGE LIABILITY 5 on 5, and next year needs to be his FINAL year with the Wings. He should be dropped after this year, but out of loyalty, next year needs to be his FINAL year. The Holmstrom Hard-On is a tough thing to get rid of, but I know you can do it.

I guess that's sort of Detroit's fault though for not training their players how to speak English more thoroughly. That's part of the reason Bettman doesn't want to jock Datsyuk all over the place. The guy's English is terrible. Detroit should hire someone to train the players how to speak English faster. Lidstrom is rock solid now, but even he was shaky for a while.

Royesque

While I think the officiating during the Ducks series was God awful, I have to give the referees that were picked for the finals their credit. They've done an excellent job of letting the hockey players decide who wins. Outside of a few mistakes here and there, which is expected in a series between two teams of this speed and calibur, they've set the tone and followed it through all 5 games so far. Big Claps to the officials in the finals. They are doing a great job.

You're right! Crosby has looked like CRAP against Detroit. Zetterberg is CLEARLY the better player.

I'm not just saying tonight. Tonight was out of hand after 3-0, and the officials were trying to make sure noone got hurt. Even the previous 4 games have seen consistent officiating. That's all I want. Just to know the way the game is going to be called and see the refs do it consistently. They have done that all 5 games.

Dude is money! Should have had 4 points tonight. Hossa screwed up that perfect pass and Dats had that dangle-dangle play earlier that the goalie magically stopped. Great game, Pasha!

This is where I really wish the leauge gave the refs the ability to hand out multiple 10 minute misconducts. That slash on Datsyuk was a perfect example of a great time for a player to get a 2 minute slashing penalty and 3 10 minute misconduct penalties. No need to give him a match penalty or an intent to injure, even though that's what it was. Just give the refs the ability to control the game by allowing them to remove a player from a game in effect. That slash was well placed by that ****** bag penguin. What an ass.

Anybody that puts Holmstrom in the top 6, much less the line-up, at this point OBVIOUSLY has no clue what has happened this entire playoffs. It's simply a joke to think that we're going to play a full 60 minutes of solid hockey if Holmstrom is on the ice 5 on 5 at any given point in time. The Wings chase the puck in their own zone for 90% of the shifts Ninety-SUX is on the ice. I hope Mike Babcock doesn't have a huge HHO going come gametime tonight. That could be disasterous. Cleary-Zetterberg-Franzen Samuelsson-Filppula-Datsyuk Hudler-Helm-Hossa Leino-Draper-Abdelkader That's how I would do it. There is no weakness in any of those lines. DEFENSE and SPEED are what we need out of our forwards. DEFENSE wins championships.

This site is cool enough for me. There is enough variety here as it is. People with HHO's, Arms Crossed Guy, Parking Lot Boy, Atomic Punk, Ms. Hockey, and Hockeymom. This slice of fun is as good as it gets. Too bad GilchristForever isn't around.... ? !!! ha

Cracks me up that you think it matters. Have you not watched the Red Wings in a while? They've got 10 centermen! Any of them can shift over to the wing. It's funny when you're like "WTF?
