Can you guys imagine if this happend to Nick Kronwall by Steve Parros at the end of game 5? Boston fans have a right to be furious. I hope that every team gets at least ONE screwing by the NHL front office so that pretty soon, these guys won't be welcome anywhere and will be forced to resign. They suck at their jobs. It's absurd that they slap a 2500 fine on a guy for sucker punching someone and breaking his face. How does 2500 hurt a guy making 500,000? That's like a parking ticket to these guys. It's sad.

If I'm Huds, I sign a 3 year deal with the Wings, get heavier and stronger by going on the Datsyuk weight training program, and get a FAT payday from the Wings in 3 years when they have a little more money to toss around. I agree with the post above. Hudler's a 60-70 point player on any other team besides the Wings. It's not easy to play on the 3rd line and get the points Hudler gets. He's done well.

First time an Anaheim person has been cool this whole series.

Do you guys think Chelios does steroids? I do.

The Red Wings have played a perfect game. The officials have blown two NON-penalties as penalties on the Wings. Since when is the defenseman not allowed to play the body of an opposing attacker carrying the puck? That's what has happened on the calls on Stuart and Kronwall. It's complete GARBAGE.

Next Goal Wins The Series. Agreed?

What the FK is with the officiating? A penalty for the Ducks, A penalty for the Wings, A penalty for the Ducks, A penalty for the Wings, .... It's so ***** lame. The Ducks do not play as cleanly as the Detroit Red Wings. There is no way in HELL that at the end of a game in Detroit, the Ducks should have as many power play opportunities as the Wings. BOTH penalties they've called on the Wings are a JOKE. ***** Bullsh!t calls to even up the calls. That's BAD officiating. Call the ***** game how it's supposed to be called. I'm sick of seeing the Ducks stumble around 5 on 5 with no shots and then the Refs calling a bad penalty on the Wings and opening the door for the Ducks. That's bullsh!t. The Red Wings are DOMINATING this game, and the only thing keeping the Ducks in it are THE ***** OFFICIALS. That's such a load of crap.

1) Filppula has got to score on that. He is way too talented to miss like that. 2) The officials are so ***** lame. I know there is a league wide mandate to make sure the power plays are even or as close to even as possible when the Wings get by the 1st round. There were AT LEAST 2 other penalties the Ducks commited that period that weren't called. I'm ***** sick of seeing the Red Wings get screwed by the officials. 3) Let's go Pavel. Time to step it up. Right now. This is it. 2 more periods for #13 to make a difference. If he doesn't, then the Wings are going to be in a nail biter. 4) LGW

Ha ha ha! EXACTLY. Why can't people just STAY AWAY if they don't like it? I'm so sick of "FAIL", "EPIC FAIL", and all the other crying going on around here. How about just hitting the freaking "General Discussion" link again and going back to where you came from instead of posting a whining comment? What's so hard about that?

Let's get it going. 1.

Seinfeld! "Hate the Drake." "I LOVE the Drake!"

And I thought it was going to be tough. Money in the bag is what it was. Wings fans rock. LGW rocks. The Wings are going to destroy these slow, goony, out of place, thugish Ducks today. I'm hoping for a 3-0 lead after the first period. The Wings are due for a game like that.

This should be played on the big screen with Rocky Theme music in the background at the start of game 5.

O'Hallaran HATES the Wings. Great.

Fighting is an important piece. If a team starts taking liberties with our guys, and an injury is a very possible occurance due to the liberties, then a well-timed fight can completely diminish the frenzy that the other team is working themselves into. I'm not saying that the Wings need to fight anytime another team starts applying pressure or hooking Datsyuk for a few shifts, but I am saying the Wings do need to fight when they're getting pushed around. It doesn't matter if the guy gets his ass kicked. It's about giving the other team the satisfaction they are looking for to get their tempers down so noone gets a bad injury from a knee to knee hit or a elbow to the head. Remember Steve Moore? If he turns around, drops the gloves, and lets Bertuzzi hit him in the face a couple times, he plays hockey for another 10-15 years and gains back the respect from the collective players. He chose to run and got his come-uppance. Kopecky stood up. So did Ericsson. These guys didn't choose to run. Kopecky's injury is a freak one and doesn't happen all that often. He got real unlucky to get caught with a hammer. Most of the time, the guy gets a black eye and a bloody nose, but nothing that keeps him out long term. The real moral of this story is that the Wings bigger guys should take it from Datsyuk and spend a little more time in the weight room, and the Wings should SERIOUSLY look into hiring a golden gloves type of guy to help them learn how to spar. They don't need to all be Joey Kocur's out there, but it would be nice if they could all lose with a minimum amount of injury.

Larry Lindrstom rocks.

Datsyuk is going to get into the mix in game 5. Big win, boys. Let's Go, Red Wings. BACK TO BACK.

Lidstrom named a top 10 favorite for the Conn Smythe.
Jake Ryan replied to Ms_Hockey's topic in General
Hiller is going to be the first goalie to win the Conn Smythe playoff trophy with 6 wins in the playoffs. No wait, the Ducks are going to win game 6 by a score of 23-1, and Ryan Getzlaf is going to be the first player to record 4 hat-tricks to go along with 9 assists and 21 points, making him the Conn Smythe trophy winner, despite not advancing to the last two rounds after the Wings win game 7. No wait, Scott Neidermayer is going to get 3 more goals off of running the goalie and be deemed the MVP of the playoffs for his ability to do anything BUT play solid defense. This article is a JOKE. -
Ha ha ha ha! He hired Sergei's accountant to be his financial advisor from now on, as well.

I always give a player ONE pass on something like this. This is the WORST play in all of hockey, in my opinion. Jiri Fischer comes to mind with this kind of crap, and I hate it. Hits to the head and hits to the knee = no no.

I agree with this post. Kopecky, while not a dominant force, is a KNOWN constant, and not a known constant that is bad. On the 4th line, it doesn't hurt to have known constants that don't hurt you. You know that when Lebda or Chelios are on the ice, there's a good chance of our team spending a minute to a minute in a half chasing Anaheim players in our own zone who have the opportunity to score at any given moment. That is a known constant that is bad. Kopecky, however, has been a regular this year, and you don't want to lose regulars. While he may not be the hardest regular to replace, there's a reason he was in there in front of the player that's going to replace him.
