I'm sorry for complaining a lot after the last two games. I should know enough about this team by now not to get so worked up after a couple losses that very easily could have been wins. I'll try to get a better grip on my anger in the future.

This post is spot on. Crosby = whining *****. Lidstrom = captain. Night and Day difference. When's the last time you've seen Lidstrom lose his temper? Or even snarl at a ref? The guy is cool as ice. Crosby is veruca salt in a number 87 pittsburgh jersey.

I'd like to see Leino play too, but I'm going to get out the magic crystal ball and say that Abdelkader will get the nod. I just have a hunch on this one. Babcock seems to like his physical abilities a bit more than Leino's skill. We'll see what he decides.

Fair enough. I wasn't as clear as I could have been. I just don't think all the hype about protecting injury information is that important right now. The Wings can BRING IT. No matter who goes down, our back up is capable. It'd be tough to replace Lidstrom or Zetterberg, but the Wings could do it if they had to. I want to know who's IN. I don't care about who's OUT. "Rafalski out for 4 weeks with ..." FINE. I'm ok with it. We'll have him back for game 4 of the 3rd round if and when we get there. FINE. But this "day to day" stuff when he's got a cast on his wrist and can't skate and has been ruled out 2 days in advance is LAME. Tell us what's going on. It's not like the Ducks are going to suddenly ignite once they find out Rafalski isn't coming back. I would venture to say that 99% of the Ducks organization would say "Big Whoop" when they found out that Rafalski wasn't going to be playing the rest of the way OR found out that Rafalski would be back. I'm pretty much the same way. I want him in the line-up. I don't need him in the line-up. I just want to focus on the current roster and not speculation. That's all.

I could care less if he comes back. The Wings have enough to win the cup with the squad we got now. A couple changes need to be made (Meech in-Chelios out, Helm up-Holmstrom down, Draper in-Maltby out), but other than that, we can beat the Ducks without Rafalski. I want the Wings to disclose what's wrong with him so the fans can put the Rafalski issue to bed. It's irritating to sit here wondering.

I wonder how many fights in the stands there were during the regular season.

What's so hard about it? Touching the Octopus overrides by an 8 to 1 Superstition Factor all of the anti-Red Wings happenings. So 1) Hiller is playing in illegal equipment, 2) The Refs don't want us to win, 3) Bettman hates us and doesn't want us to win. All of that going against us, you think we had a chance to beat the Ducks? Hell no. But then Pronger gave us what we needed by touching the Octopus. It's almost impossible to overcome that 8-3 advantage now for the Ducks. Wings should have no problem wrapping this up now unless a Duck fan puts 4 duck eggs in hot water to hard boil them, and then sticks them up his butt and flaps his arms while saying "quack attack come back, octo-curse reverse". If they did that, it would be a series again. But as of now, this is in the bag.

Well, we can all see that Holmstrom is slow out there 5 on 5. Why is he not seeing it? Double shift Helm 5 on 5, and put Homer in there for PP's. What's so hard about that? I don't get why the coach has a hard time adjusting. It's not like he's coaching undisciplined players. These guys are pros.
