I have been bagging on Holmstrom and sometimes Babcock for not demoting Holmstrom, but I didn't believe for ONE second that Hossa's lack of success was due to Pavel Datsyuk or Marian Hossa. Holmstrom is OUT OF PLACE out there 5 on 5. It's that simple. Play any two forwards 2 on 3, and it doesn't matter who they are, Gretzky and Lemieux in their primes, and they're going to get shut down. Holmstrom puts his 2 linemates on a penalty kill. Simple as that.

You try playing with Maltby and Kopecky. Half the time when Helm gets to the puck, his linemates haven't even crossed the blue line yet. Come on, man. He needs some linemates or he's going to be a one man wrecking ball his whole career instead of a great 2 way player.

Not if Cleary is on the ZDC line. Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Cleary, Hossa-Filppula-Franzen. I'm satisfied with that. If Holmstrom is in the top 6, then yes. Get Holmstrom's SLOW, OLD butt on the bench and use him when we get on the PP. It's silly to have him stumbling around out there 5 on 5. No value.

Why won't Babcock give Helm a chance to play with some skill guys? This is pissing me off. Helm probably skates 3 miles worth of ice every shift. Get Hank and Pasha on HIS line! ZDHelm.

I hear what you are saying. You're making a good point. I just know that the police would have to investigate a million death threats a day if they were to track everytime someone threatened to kill someone online in a message forum or chat room. I've gotten those threats plenty of times. Some guy once told me he wanted to meet up with me and fight me!!! I gave him my address (as stupid as that was), and the guy never showed. I haven't been in a fight since 4th grade, and I was so fricking scared when that happened. But I was kind of holding onto my stupid pride like that guy in the other thread and didn't want to back down. Oh well. I can understand your side of it too.
