Agreed - but its fun to see them race for it so I'd like to keep it as touch icing. Just as someone said above though, give a minor penalty for hitting someone on an icing, its not necessary.

No, I agree with you 100%, I see it too. Even before the injury there were times his play would have me scratching my head. Yet he's sound defensively and still puts his body on the line so I can't complain. Rather have him in the lineup then Lilja.

yeah, best part is with the team they have, they should be able to break that record. not counting my chickens before they hatch mind you, its just that they have a good shot next year. but id rather win the cup this year and worry about that when it comes around

Only thing about Wings fans and I know this is what the players are thinking... WE SIT ON OUR HANDS AT THE GAMES! Seriously, when the play is going on, unless a goal is scored or there is a fight, you can sometimes hear a pin drop. A lot of other places, the fans are loud for long periods of time. The problem is that the prices are too high for younger people and families to afford to go more then once or twice. If the games were priced like Tigers games, I'd definitely go to more. And more young people leads to louder arenas. Compared to more people who barely get out of their seats when the Wings score.
